Mr F has not ventured forth on a freezer expedition yet - I made a crumble while the oven was on - when that is cool enough to portion up - he will do his freezer duty! :rotfl:
I do love seeing your meals Florenceem, I usually cant wait to eat, by the time I've cooked it, so I'll never get round to taking photos of it! lol but yours are an inspiration.
As regards the heating we have our open fire lit every night of late to take the chill off the house - we started using it in 2008 and it is unheard of to be lighting it in June! I only hope we get a late indian summer to top us all up with sunshine.:)0 -
This is the apricot, cherry and nectarine crumble I made tonight. Odd combination of fruit - but all needed using up. I added some OOD muesli to the crumble mix.
I will be putting this crumble in the freezer - fill up that hole Mr F made last night!Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I have transferred to caravan freezer and fridge:
3 x salmon fillets
2 moroccan burgers
18 sausages
5 packs bacon (ok they were not originally in freezer)
3 x chicken breast fillet
2 x quiches
lasagne
garlic flatbread
meatball pizza
loaf of bread
also got out 6 finger rolls and pack of chicken / chorizo meat (nom nom) for sarnies and large chunk ploughmans pie, cocktail sausages and mini party eggs. Bought pack of baby plum toms to go with it all en-route tomorrow.
Also moved over lots of fruit and veg and yogurts to take. Fridge and freezer in caravan jammed and coolbox totally full too!
Home freezer - hubby says still not helluva lot of room! Shows how packed it was eh?
Tonight we are having chicken madras (HM from freezer) with garlic chilli naan (frz), bhajis (frz), dal makani (pkt) and pilau rice (cupboard).
Very hungry and nearly packed for morning. Hoping to get away for 9am - we shall see. Wish us luck!
EDIT - curry was amazing! a lot to be said for freezing extras portions for the hungry times!!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

NSD and veggie day completed and never ventured into a shop again.
Spent all the money saved on food shopping with ebay bargains. lol
Only about £65, but done quite well ........................ if as described!!!
Took out some tea-cakes for tomorrow, some bread and also a basted chicken breast joint thingy. I'll make a dinner and get rid of some veg.
I could possibly have a NSD tomorrow, but may pop into Lidl for the brown sauce and perhaps a bag of fudge (my treat).
I may try Sainsbury's and/or Morries tomorrow night ................... just to get my "fix"!!
katskorner - the very best of luck with the weather, hope you get the sun and you all enjoy your holiday.
We have horrible wet and blustery weather tonight, not nice at all.
Can't wait for the summer. lol

Well done Lynsey on your nsd.
I had lunch 3 chicken wings and chips, apples for brekkie, for dinner, which was mainly from the freezer aside from the green beans, which were the last of the ones I bought on Sat, so I had a chicken and bacon ceasar melt, whoopsied, , the last of the 50p aunt bessie roasties, green beans and a corn on the cob, it was yummy, will be visiting the market to get more tomorrow.
Breakfast will be apples, lunch will be the the other chicken melt, which I only just remembered to put in the fridge, inside some pitta pockets and cucumber that neds using, I'm not sure what I'm having for dinner, I still have loads of pork so probably that, decide tomorrow.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

morning all
Lynsey - well done on your NSD. Hope you get some good YS tonight to get your 'fix'.
Lipstick - shame about the food at the soft play. We have one near us which does and amazing breakfast. We have taken DS1 a few times in the winter when it has been horrid and have enjoyed the brekkie whilst he has run around daft.
Kat - I used to love caravan holidays when I was a kid. Playing games in the rain was great although my parents were great walkers and we had all the wet weather gear so we didn't stay in much lol.
Flo - your crumble sounds delish. One of my favourite pudding is crumble but neither DS1 nor DH like it so I am hoping DS2 will acquire the taste for them.
Ms night ryder - sounds like a good use up day. That reminds me must taken chicken breasts out for tomorrow.
Right off to get brekkie sorted then get ready for taking DS and his pals to the cinema and pizza hut for his birthday. I will be frazzled by 1pm.0 -
Morning.
ms_night_ryder & Maisie M - I'll let you know it was TWO NSD's in a row. lol
Thank you both though.
Only £10.22 spent this week over 4 days and still quite a bit - those 10p bargains really stretch your budget. :rotfl:
Toasted tea-cake soon and chicken dinner tonight. Would love to get rid of a macaroni cheese meal, but not hungry enough, so maybe tomorrow??
I could do with a few snacks and may have a look in B&M's later.
This time next week I'll be on my way to Lidl's for 30 bars of chocolate.
Another grey day, but feel for those in Wales - a washout.

Morning all.
Having a leek and cheese pasta rm for dinner as needed to take something out the freezer.. actually the freezer was full and couldn't fit it in lol. Don't know what I'm having for tea. Will have to take something else out of the freezer... or perhaps not, I'll only be tempted to fill the space lol.
A friend rang up last night. Her oh has sodded off back to Newcastle so she's on a downer. He'll be back in a few weeks tho I bet (as usual). She wants to come down this evening for a drink and chat, and asked if her daughter can sleep over. Ds will enjoy her daughter's company. Not sure whether to plan for munchies for us all but I'm a bit skint now. Thinking cap on!
lol Lynsey at your 30 bars of chocolate. I don't know how you're so restrained eating them. I can hardly have choc in the house as it goes too quick!
Masie - I think next time I'll have one of the kids meals, seemed better value lol.
Flo - you're inspiring me to make a crumble. I've a cooking apple in the fridge that I meant to use for something but forgot lol so will buy another and make a small crumble.. one of my favourite puds!
katskorner - fingers crossed you have some decent weather! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
