Morning all. Supposed to be taking ds to soft play this morning, and to have a spot of lunch there (bet it's crap!). Then on to some school club in the afternoon.

Need to buy toothpaste, small freezer bags and eggs while I'm out. Bought a cheese cake brownie mix yesterday for 50p from Asda. Figured I'd get that instead of buying eggs and making it from scratch.... but I didn't read the packet saying I need.... egg, oil and cream cheese... doh!

AlwaysHappy - you've got the same freezer as me. A completely packed one!

Maisie - agree with Lynsey in that you've done well sticking to things. I like the way you're doing your meal plan.

Katskorner - hope the weather cheers up for your hol, but I do have fond memories sat in a caravan playing board games with the rain pattering at the windows. :D

Hi RedRag - welcome to the thread, and the forum. Thanks for the web link. Looks good.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

We have two ELC games in the van as well as scrabble. We let the boys have the DS's and also are taking loads of films. We do go out a lot but love walking so here is hoping that we can. The pushchair has a raincover and failing that there are buses! We try not to drive too much as it is too expensive to park and too restrictive. I have got vouchers for the sealife centre too and that does need a nice day for the rides and the splashplay park.
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

    Buses??
    No boats?? :D

Just kidding. Seen that report from the camp-site on tv this morning and a few gave up eventually - typical BH weather.

Enjoy though, wish I was going caravanning on the south coast.
Looks like the weather may pick up over the weekend!!

Breakfast was waffles and cream (i wanted to try the lidl ones there acually pretty nice) kids had blueberries with tehere (2 for £1.50 in lidl pity i only like them in muffins) lunch is reduced minetrone soup (10p) with some reduced bagette (8p- will slice and freeze teh rest) and dinner is pizza, garlic bread and chips, and some sweetcorn.

    Hands up!!
Put the heating on for 2 hours or so yesterday, 1st time in ages.
Would be on this morning also, but going out soon
Checked my bill yesterday and we owe them about £160, just over.
Hope it averages out over the "summer" (lol).
They only took £55 p/m (total) for both gas and electric and we had to put it up to £65 as we knew we were under-paying.
They (EDF) don't seem bothered though!!!

Enough "gossiping" - catch up later.

We have oil it cost us £550 to fill up (it's only £505 now but we needed it then :( ) if were careful it will last us a year in a normal house, now given that this house at a potbelly stove and hubbys a printer i'm gonna buy a cheapo green house and start making paper brickettes, that and the pallets he's been cutting up should mean it will last us longer :). loving my new hous etho my elec bill in my old house was £130 a month (i'm convnced we were paying abit for our landlord aswell) our elec this month for here is £45 :j and i've had the dryer on a few times and the washer on loads i washed anything i could in that warm weather.

I had my heat on for half an hr on wed it was really stormy, we made the most of it and had a bath aswell, but i'm trying to avoid it espicially as i have so much to do today that will warm me up :), ds3 has a nice big thick fleece on....my nose is cold tho lol

Evening all. Had a very busy day taking ds to soft play. The dinner there wasn't worth the price. And the wrap I had looked like it had been made by ds lol. After dinner we went to a school club thing but wish we hadn't bothered as it was more for younger kids. It was also at the end of the longest street in the world... well it looked like it was that long. Feet are killing!

Went shopping afterwards, bought toothpaste, freezer bags and some mint aero lambs from home bargains. Then visited asda and managed to pick up a few whoopsies and some of their rtc bargains. Got the vanilla delight pud for 11p, 3 jars of chicken tonight for 40p each, a jar of chillies for 40p and a slow cooker packet mix for about 30p.

Can't really fit all the whoopsies in the freezer lol. Would have bought so much more if I could have. Next week, I'm buying nothing except milk and fruit and veg... oh and alcohol. :o I will not visit the supermarket for ANYTHING!

Just had my gas bill through. 85 !!!!!!! quid! And that's for spring months!

We had HM salmon quiche, HM garlic wedges and salad - grated carrot/lettuce & spring onions for dinner.
Mr F has not ventured forth on a freezer expedition yet - I made a crumble while the oven was on - when that is cool enough to portion up - he will do his freezer duty! :rotfl:
