my eldest son went to his friends after school and when I picked him up, his friend's mom had just put some breaded fish and onion rings in the oven. i nearly abandoned my plans for the salmon and gave in to fish and chips for all of us but when I got home I can say I stuck to the plan and the boys had pan-fried salmon with baby new pots and carrots, and we had pan-fried salmon (with white wine) with mushroom and garlic couscous with ratatouille with added mushrooms and baby sweetcorn. Have to say it was NOM and glad I didn't give in to the fish and chips easy option (so it is still in the freezer.....)...
maybe tomorrow.... good luck all!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Evening all. Decided to have pitta pizza again for tea as I didn't want much. Just put a bit of tuna, mushroom and sprinkling of cheese on it. Also had a small apple.
Been doing my home work for my course. Yawn. Ds hasn't been to sleep long, he's not been going to sleep til around 9 which I feel is far too late.
Not got a clue about tomorrows meals, I really need to meal plan! Probably do savoury mince with mash and veg for tea.
Wow Lynsey - that's a big shop for the spend!Florenceem wrote: »How is your leg now? There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. Feeling better, thanks, I can stand on it for longer now before it hurts. Think it's sun poisoning what I have after googling.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Mr F took out of the freezer a tub of soup and put in two tubs of strawberries. He will eat the soup while I am away.
I don't eat soup.
We had roast potatoes, roast parsnips, pizza, roast - cauliflower, leeks, mushroom and red pepper for dinner.
No more dinners for me to cook until I return home on Monday - or Tuesday!Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

That looks yum Florenceem!
Thank you for the link to the coupons thread Lynsey :T I can't believe I've never seen it before and gobsmacked at how many there are! :money:0 -
Morning.
ammonite - you're welcome - it's all about helping each other out to save pennies - better in your purse, rather in their till.
The "trick" is though to use the coupons ONLY (where possible) with the lowest price or best offers, otherwise you could still actually pay more by using a coupon in the "wrong place". Play about with it until you get the hang of it and make it into a money-saving "hobby" - good luck and save, save, save.
Breakfast will be simply toast again and just snacking today as out into Newcastle later to use Living Social cake and coffee voucher and off to "Dogs" later for free supper and a drink.
Trying to keep out of the food shops today and tomorrow if possible and hoping just to pick up the Vitalite later. I may have a look in another Asda to see if there are any of the baking bargains - we'll see.
I would love to go "couponing" today and "bargain hunting" tonight, but must control and keep within budget - it gives a massive "buzz" though when you WIN.
Weather is miserable today - sadly.
Have a great day though ..................... and fun.
