ms_night_ryder - good luck tomorrow, hope all goes well and you can move on to better things (and better managers!!).
UPS man has just been, so I'll not have to wait in all day, I can relax now.
Spent the morning printing coupons, Vitalite, L'Oreal and Anchor - couponing day coming soon. lol
Cr4p weather today and was a bit chilly, but just starting to warm up.
Off to make those scones now!!

I do it like this, i use the 50p pots of yeo valley yogurt, i tried it with value before tho and it did work, you can do it with normal milk or uht, i'm using value uht, and value skimmed milk powder, i've found it abit tart so will be adding some honey.
BTW that sites got lots of brill ideas.
Pasta sauce made and fridge cleaned out, forgot i need onions so i'll have to grab some in the next few days.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Also need to get some aloe stuff for my swollen leg. No idea where to get that.Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140

Lip_Stick - Holland & Barrett also do a good aloe vera gel - often on special if my memory serves me right - and a little goes a long way.
I really must get myself a slow cooker, it sounds like it comes in so handy, and the idea of being able to make my own yoghurts is appealing. Trouble is I missed a fantastic offer on one a few months back and got disillusioned looking for another decent model, so still don't have one. Any tips on what to look for please?
It's still pretty warm here (27°C today) but thank God we had rain last night. My joints have eased up a bit. I'm sure the weather centres should employ people with arthritis to predict rain instead of satellites.
I've now decided that the only purchase until the end of June will be veg so that I can clear some of my (mainly cupboard) stash. It's just out of hand. I can't remember the last time I saw the back of any of my cupboards and the overflow now runs to 5 boxes in the hallway.
I went a bit mad yesterday and spent nearly £100 on a cat tree since mine loves climbing but is limited in a flat with no outside access. Also got his food for the next three months, all free delivery.
I'm sure I spend when I'm anxious, and since mom was having a bowel cancer op yesterday, my recent spending seems to appease the anguish somewhat. Hospitals won't tell you much over the phone, despite me living in another country, so my info is second-hand from my sister when she has time, since mom can't come to the phone yetawhile. It's awful being abroad when this kind of thing happens, plus I'm not in a position to travel for the foreseeable future (mobility issues). Sorry to go on.
Hope everyone is well today.0 -
Hope your mom is ok Sofiaki. That must be so hard for you.
I have spent up over the weekend so heading into June with everything full again. We are going away so that will affect the budget a bit so expecting odd spending this month!
Have just made two (one large and one small) dishes of moussaka as still had aubergines from Lidl weekend deal. Used up some lamb mince from freezer but some moussaka will have to be frozen cos there are at least 2 lots of meals for the five of us. Smells nice though - hope it tastes that way!
Might dig out some salmon for tomorrow as not had any for a couple of weeks. I think the kids have but I need my omegas too.
Ooh getting excited about holiday!! Not long now.... Jubilee celebrations first though of course!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

5 rocket lollys and 3 tubs of pasta sauce into the freezer.
theres always offers on slowcookers and you really don't need a good model, the argis value one is fine if you can get it, my current one (i keep dropping the crockpot of setting it on a hot hob so it cracks) is a swan one from kays and cost £25 which is half the price of amazonDEC GC £463.67/£450

Hope your mum is ok Sofiaki , can imagine it must be really nervewracking not being there with your mum .. I definitely spend more when stressed too!!! sounds like you will have a very happy cat tho!
ms night ryder- good luck with the stuff going on at work- redundancy consultations can be horribly stressful so hope there is an outcome and at least as you say you can have a clear idea of what happens next!
Eating up the last of the chocolate cakes I made at the weekend (had 2!) as dont think theyll be too nice tomorrow. Had chilli and salad with a tiny bit of cheese to balance out!
Gonna do quick dinners for next few nites I think from freezer, we have lots of "instant" stuff (veggie burgers, fish fingers and the like!) so that should do , cooked some potatoes today which will make into potato salad and roasted some veg which will freeze of mix with pasta for lunches...
hoping the weather will hold for the weekend , altho a breeze would be nice!0 -
Sofiaki - wishes to your Mum, understand your frustrations being in Paris - take care.
NSD, but had a look and little I fancied, though plenty reduced - keep pennies for tomorrow.
Used up quite a bit of bread out of freezers and gaps are appearing - need to either buy bread now though or bake some.
Took out a couple of pork chops for tomorrow and having with roast veg and some stuffing. I could do with a swede and a couple of parsnips, but not paying full price and do with what I have if need be.
Got to pick up something from Home Bargains tomorrow and I'll see if there's any nice and cheap. Some more Cravendale from Sansbury's and using some L'Oreal coupons on shampoo and have a look at the clothing sale (25% off) - got a £2 off £20 voucher.
Breakfast not decided on yet.

Evening all. Thanks to those with suggestions of the Aloe gel. Will try get some, although may make an appointment with the doc. My leg is almost looking purple with the swelling, the other one is looking ok and the tan is fading. If the doc touches my bad leg tho, I might end up punching him!
Decided to make pitta bread pizza for tea tonight with ds helping. He enjoyed himself and the pizzas were lovely. Had spaghetti hoops on toast for dinner... toddler food lol.
Ds is with his dad tomorrow so meals for one. Think I'll have garlicky prawns for tea.
Sofiaki, sorry to hear about your mum. Must be an awful time for you both. Let us know how she is doing pls.
ms_night_ryder Good luck for the meeting tomorrow.
katskorner where you going on your hols? There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
