Mr F has got some pizza out of the freezer for tomorrow's dinner - nothing to go in! :j
I am only here for 1 more night then off for 4 days away - Mr F is staying home with the dog. :o
We had roast potatoes, roast parsnips, barbecue chicken drumstick and roasted vegetables - cauliflower, mushroom, onion and orange pepper for dinner.

    Morning.

Lip_Stick - get that leg checked out.

Florenceem - enjoy you break away, I'll miss your posts.

Breakfast today will be bacon, eggs and grilled tomato with a slice of toast. Pork chops later and possibly just a cheese and ham toastie (had one last night) to finish of the ham.

Couponing day today, so a few shops will be hit - hope all goes to plan. Off to Newcastle tomorrow and there's a Waitrose there (small one) and try and pick up 5 more Vitalites - was hoping for a NSD on Thursday, but silly to miss out - had 2 NSD's this week so far though. I might have a look at the fruit and veg market and see if there are any bargains - not like London standards (sadly), but a nice vibrant indoor market.

Morning all, just mucnhing threw some banana bread and butter (altho i really fancy lynseys breaky) made a yogurt drink with my yogurt and some frozen strawberrys/past there best bananas.

Out of the freezer came a packet of mince and a handful of strawberrys, in went a tub of yogurt to use next time. i'll also use a tin of beans and i used 2 tins of chopped tomatoes.

    Plan for today is

Breakfast, banana bread and yogurt drinks, kids had toast aswell.
Lunch, gonna have pot noodle, ds3 can have a sandwich and fruit.
Dinner, hm burgers with mash and beans, kids can have choccy custard for pudding.

I'm avoiding the shops but i will need spuds and onions soon.

Last nights pasta was yummy kids cleared there plates, and more important so did hubby as he isn't keen on pasta, i have a about 20bags of pasta i need to use up as i really need the cupboard space so we have pasta in the meal plan a few times in the next month.

Do you buy your onions in bulk??
I started buying the 5kg bags from Lidl for around £1.30 (when on offer), but got a 10kg bags for only £1.50 a while ago and far too many in one go for us, they do keep though and obviously very cheap. We use a lot of onions, but not too sure if I'll buy 10kg bags again, though might ask neighbour if they want to share next time. The shop I got mine from supplies wholesale (restaurants etc), hence the low price.

    Morning all.

My leg is looking and feeling a bit better this morning. Might have got bad because I'd been on my feet most of the day. Will rest it today, between bouts of house work lol.

Brekkie was marmalade on toast. Dinner may be soup, and tea will be garlicky prawns.

Ds is with his dad, and seeing his granddad (dad's dad). His granddad was supposed to see him sunday morning for his birthday, it'd been arranged weeks, but he rang up a day before and said he wanted to go to his caravan, so blew ds off! Wouldn't mind but he can go to his caravan any weekend, and generally does. Then he rings ds' dad last night asking to spend extra time with ds tonight. I told the ex to tell him to sod off. I can't stand the guy, he's so bloody selfish.

Flo - enjoy your break away.

Lynsey, let me know if you get any good bargains, I'll be doing a big shop next week so may need some lol.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Thats a fab deal i buy my onions in bulk from makro when i go there around £2.50 for 10kg tho, other than that i just look out for offers or buy value, have you thought about making onion cutney or caramilsed onions and putting them in jam jars to make them last longer, i've seen an onion cutney recipe over on oldstyle which i wnated to make but never did, we have no trouble using onions up, and as your a true freezer addict i'm sure you already know you can freeze them :rotfl:

Just had a wee nosey on lidl, they have coleslaw off offer this week, which i need for a meal later in the month so i might rejig my meal plan (i'm not keen on homemade stuff) and they have 16 lollys for £1 on sat so i'll be going then as we've been eating loads of lollys and less than 7p each is a fab deal.

quintwins - thanks, maybe I should make something with them, could also freeze. My Brother buys diced onion as he's semi-disabled and finds it difficult to chop things - maybe I could chop and bag some up for him ready to freeze??

Lip_Stick - my coupon targets for today and tomorrow are:

Cravendale - 50p coupon via Sainsbury's free mag (page 6)
L'Oreal - both shampoo and skin care products - from L'Oreal site
Vitalite - 30p coupons from Vitalite site
Anchor cream - via Facebook app.
McVities cakes - via Facebook app (freebies) - printing off now on 3 pc's.

Don't miss the Facebook ones - they are limited!!!

    Good luck.

yeah you can chop them and freeze them, i buy chopped onions when there reduced and freeze them (i used the ones i got last week in yesterdays pasta sauce they cost 5p a bag cause it was a tin pack for 10p) only thing is i find the stick together, you could freeze them on a tray, or if he's able to dropping them on the floor hard breaks them up.

Still think you should get a Doctor to look at that leg. I had a hard time getting my friend to see a Doctor - she was so pleased she listened to me!

    hi everyone,

must get into my freezer and find salmon for tonight or else it won't be defrosted in time for tea! got some lovely fillets from when I got a whole fish for £8 and hubby chopped it up. Not sure what to do with it but once it is out I can decide then.

Lip_stick we are taking our caravan down to Weymouth, Dorset. We love it there and my folks also go so the kids get nanna and grandad for a fortnight and they love it. My brother and his girlfriend are also camping down there for the first week too so that will be nice to all get together as it has been ages.
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!
