Quintwins - where is the bogof mince from?
This morning I had to go to a funeral early so didn't have time to do any breakfast for kids so made bacon last night which they could microwave this morning and got two rolls out to defrost. I didn't have anything but came in starving and had two crackers with peanut butter, which was surprisingly filling.
Kids are out with their Dad today for lunch and oldest is at work, so I sent her off with a packed lunch. She is amazed by the amount she saves by taking a packed lunch, however as she doesn't pay me any keep then her gain is my loss;)
Tea tonight will be chicken breasts out of the freezer, salad and baguettes -the aldi 39p ones of which I have a giant stack - I keep them in the back of my car so the kids don't keep cooking them - they drive me mad as they cook two and quite often burn them or only eat a little bit and leave the rest which goes hard and I have to make them into breadcrumbs.
yesterday I baked 36 cup cakes and put different frostings on them - managed to make them with all storecupboard stuff no was a NSD. I am going to freeze half of them and have put the other half in tins so hopefully that will do the whole week. I was thinking of making some twinks hobnobs today but I am on a diet and they are too irresistible!
So far I have spent £230 on my shopping for the whole month and I am hoping that I won't have to buy anything other than milk and veg/salad. I am sick of buying fruit which goes off so for now I am only buying whoopsied fruit and tinned fruit.Jane

BOGOF is at Tesco - £2.20 per 500g pack (so £1.10 per pack).
Lidl has the lean steak mince on half-price this weekend at £1.34 per 500g pack.
Spent £1.50 at ASDA on packs of hot cross buns, tea cakes and buns (3 for £1.50).

Back to square one now big style.
Popped out to Sainsburys last night for milk as the offer with the milk bags is ending and spent another few pounds!!!!
Bags of potatoes for 10p, some more large prawns, southern fried chicken etc.
Not much spent, but with the salmon and other stuff my freezer is full again.
Having the pasta bake today (in oven now) as I felt iffy yesterday. Probably just a burger tonight with some wedgers.
The positive is I can't spend any more fresh stuff now to freeze as I have no space and another positive is I have some quality stuff for very little outlay - cheap food. I'm not even going food or grocery shopping today or tomorrow (hopefully 2 non-spend days) as I don't need anything - did pop into M&S retail outlet though (Royal Quays) and got some bargains. lol

We love the value pizza - the base has a really nice texture and taste, but you do need to tart it up a bit - I usually put all kinds of leftover stuff on the top!Jane
