Using up left overs for dinner tonight. Left over champ and cabbage from our dinner on Monday with left over chicken. I will make it in to bubble and squeak cakes and stir fry the chicken in chilli butter I think. Nothing should go in to the freezer but 3 buns are defrosting for our lunch.
EDIT: Forgot to say that I'm going to make chicken noodle soup with the carcass and some sorry looking spring onions I have in the fridge for lunch for tomorrow.
I know the feeling florenceem, I'm dying to bake something but I'm proud that I haven't the last two days (except DS Bday cake ) and that I'm starting to use things up.£36/£240

Morning all, i'm feeling very ill today, we had to cancel our appointment at the photographer
Gonna cook a gammon for tea with honey and mustard with cauliflower cheese, think i might have more soup for lunch cause my throats sore, i've yet to have breakfast the kids raided the fruit bowl.
Gonna stock up on some ice cream, cart dor is half price til next week and theres a £2 off £6 coupon in the price drop book, we don't usually buy much ice cream as it uses valuable freezer space but with everyone being sick we've used 3 tubs this week alone and i can't see us getting better anytime soon so it's worth it.DEC GC £463.67/£450

thank you, i feel like i'm constantly sick lately (it seems to be all i keep posting) which is part of the reason for some many takeaways, moving house doesn't help, also all this eating out acually makes me ill because i'm suppose to have a low fat diet (not that you'd guess it)DEC GC £463.67/£450

Can you not ask a parent or friend to help out with some cooking until you are well again? A nice hearty stew and big pot of home made soup would put you right£36/£240

Have any of you clever people got any ideas on how I can use up a whole box of shreddies that went out of date in feb?
Have sorted two cupboards in kitchen and have enough cereal and porridge to last 10 years!!!
Thanks in advance

How about breaking them up (shorts bursts in a food processor or throw in a bag and batter with a rolling bin) then mix with dried fruit, marshmallows, sprinkles- whatever you have really) and mix with choclate for buns? sorry i'm not very inventive thats what i do with all my old cereal.
ok not having gammon for tea, kids had ham in school so gonna do homemade burgers, with salad instead, gonna make abit of hm coleslaw for mine aswell, will keep the gammon til friday.DEC GC £463.67/£450
