    All these recipes sound delicious!

There is a notable absence of vegetables in my freezer so although I have plenty of meat, it isn't easy to make a bulked up meal out of it due to lack of veggies. May have to purchase some.

What to do with tomato sauce? We have way more than I'll ever use by November(not sure why they all have the same use by date!). I use it in spag bol sometimes - any other suggestions?

Used a bag of minced lamb (500g) and added mushrooms and frozen peppers to make a spagbol with 2 tins of tomatoes, garlic puree and tom puree. It made enough for 7-8 portions.

OH for lunch today used up a wheat free pizza base which we were refunded on as it came broken up....well they both were with mozzarella (reduced to 15p), sweetcorn, mushrooms, leftover chicken and tom puree. He said it was nice and smelt ok too.

florenceem your bread looks so yummy

quintwins thanks for posting the link for the bread

It looked so good that I decided to give it a go. I am no cook but found it very quick and easy to make. I just had a little taste and it tastes good too:j florenceem mine seems to be more of a scone texture than a bread, is this right?

Yes it is more scone like than bread - no yeast in it - JJ named the recipe - you can eat the bread/scones with soup/meals or use as topping/cobblers.

Well, my meat order came and has been shoe horned into the freezer - I think its fair to say I couldn't literally get another thing in!!Sooo, the challenge is now to start using up all the stocks again. I have absolutely loads in - literally in the freezer I must have enough for 60 meals (yikes) so why do I never notice a difference to the budget?? Tonight I am out for a meal so defrosted pork chops for the men in my life and also have defrosted a chocolate and banana cake for their pudding, so a start has been made.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

We're going to try to live completely out of the cupboards/freezer next week. We have some hazelnut milk and juice stashed away, plenty of pittas, wraps and bread flour so there should be NO reason to go to the shops. Our stock isn't full to bursting but it would be good to completely save on the shopping budget this week as we've had a lot of expenses come up and it'd be a shame to dip into savings.

Most meals will be bean based and plenty of veg in the freezer...might make a soup for lunches and a couple of fruit crumbles with frozen fruit for filling up OH. Wish me luck!
