This morning was rummaging around wondering what to do about tonight's tea. Fancied a risotto but only had a teeny bit of risotto rice left in the packet. Already had decided NOT to shop this weekend so thought about fish fingers instead..poor substitute but needs must :( Decided later to clean out top shelf of my "dry store" cupboard. Found 3 other half used packs of risotto rice there..sooo the fish fingers can stay in the freezer. Result !!

This morning I have taken out meatballs for tomorrows tea, some stewed plums and a crumble mix. Can't be tempted with any bargains as there is NO room in the freezer - so best if I try and stay away from the shops!!!

  • I've been struggling to keep up with the thread. Have managed to read but not post:( snowed under a mountain of coursework to be annotated for the exam board by tomorrow.
OH has been looking after the meals, we had a big cauli brocoli cheese last night with bacon from the freezer and used up a lot of extra cheese. OH had scambled eggs (from next door hens) and smoked salmon out of freezer for breakfast, I had a cranberry and orange toastie also from freezer. We had reduced houmous with carrot sticks and reduced parma ham for lunch and have just had reduced chicken wings with salad for tea.
I had a good non food bargain today. I had two loreal vouchers for £2.50 off and found cleanser and toner on sale at sainsbugs for £2.54 so 4p each. I guess I must be worth that:D
Oh well back to the salt mines.....:(
I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly :D
