I have 6. Eggs that I need to get used, so will deffo he making muffins and drizzle cake tomorrow, need to get more greek yog, will get another pineapple while in Mr s, will nip out and do a ms while I'm out, that will give me a bit of a walk.

biscuitmad - great selection there ....... you'll not starve. lol

ms_night_ryder - I might start ms'ing again next year. Got sick of all the cr4p offers - wanted the better restaurants and wasn't after the money, just the free meals for a report or 2.

NSD, never even entered a shop.
Veggie day 2 of the week tomorrow and it's causing an inconvenience as I would rather use some meat to start reducing stash. I want space for a couple of those Lidl cured pork joints on Saturday.
Probably have another brunch to get rid of some Linda Mc sausages and burgers and finish off some hash browns. Definitely naan bread pizzas tomorrow to get rid of the mozzarella.
Short on fresh veg now, but not buying until after hols. Got a few tins of veg I can use up.

Those scones were actually very nice, must start and bake more and try some of Florenceem's recipes.

Out of the freezer today came some HM bread, home made cake and lamb kebabs. In went a gammon steak.
We had HM chilli wedges with gammon and salad -
celery, onion, red cabbage and tomatoes for dinner.
HM salmon quiche tomorrow. The lamb kebabs are for Saturday - I like to be organised.

  • Biscuitmad - your freezer list is amazing!! my freezer is looking quite depleted now, although I did buy a load of the milk bags in sainsburys last night, along with the free jugs, and I got a ys beef roasting joint for £3 and a huge tray of pork chops for £2.80 so I was very pleased. I was in Sainsburys at about 4.30 and the girl was just half pricing everything so I think I will go again at that time.

NSD today. the weather is horrendous - the back garden is like a mud bath!

Breakfast was hm pittas with a little cheese, lunch was half a sachet of pasta and sauce (was not nice) and dinner was cheese jacket potato and salad. I was quite hungry at about 10pm so had a little bowl of Lidl muesli which I have to say was yummy!

I have half a chicken in the fridge to use up tomorrow and some naan breads, so I think I will make curry.

florenceem - food photos are fab!!

    Anyone heard from Kirri?

Off to look at the Lidl website to see what my weekend meat offer is.

    Morning sleepy heads. :p

    Simple toast for breakfast.
Definitely a veggie brunch for lunch and definitely naan bread pizzas tonight - today's meals sorted and nice and easy.
A few scones to finish also.

Need to sort out some freezer food for the next few days and need to start using up some fish, rather than just collecting the stuff.
Bread is taking up some space also, need to clear the lot before buying any more.

I might buy a bag of Maris Piper as need gravy granules from Aldi, but really don't want to buy fresh veg.

Wet and damp today and looks like the temperature's dropping. Need to get out "winter woolies". lol

Morning all. Weather looks ok for the moment, the sun pops out every now and again.

Ds has a sandwich, yoghurt and grapes for his packed lunch. No idea what I'm going to have. Might have something light like miso soup. No idea about tea.

Actually, just realised I'm meeting sis for fish & chips at BHS. Will pop into Tesco, Wilkos & TKMaxx while in town. Might have miso soup for brekkie, like the japs do lol.

Jane - Kirri has been posting so seems she's ok. Don't know why she's not been around this thread tho.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

I think i might acually be dying, ok o maybe slightly dramatic but i feel really rough, sent hubby to tesco last night for ice cream and pepsi and he spent £14, means we've filled all the freezer spaces, pity as i wanted to do a bread whoopsie run on sunday but it will have to wait now, we can manage til next sunday.

My kids and oh eat a whole packet of waffles last night :o i was suprised the kids asked for more and they asked so nicely i couldn't say no, in the end they had the same amount of dinner as me andthere only 5 and 3. guess it's cause waffles are a real treat for them.

Gonna make chicken casarole tonight with mixed veg mash and yorkshires, it's pouring down so comfort food is in order, i had tea and ice cream for breakfast (told u i was feeling rough) i'm thinking pasta for dinner because it's nice and soft we'll see how it goes.

  • Morning all!

Lip_stick - thanks for the info re: Kirri - glad she's okay - I was just wondering because she had just had that operation.

Lynsey - I am going to Aldi too - I need to get buttery spread and will get a bag of the maris pipers while they are on offer still. I need to be very disciplined and not buy anything else as I don't get paid again until Monday and only have about £25 to last me!

DD informed me this morning that she is bringing her friend home for tea and there won't be enough chicken curry to go round, so I am defrosting the ys pork chops I got in Sainsburys the other day. I will make hm barbecue sauce and hm savoury rice to go with.

Older DD is still off work so I have defrosted a small pot of chillie for lunch for me and she will have the curry I was going to do for tea, and I will freeze the leftovers. I have pitta dough in the breadmaker at the moment so will bake that off and that should last until Sunday.

Quintwins - sorry you are feeling so rough - there's nothing worse than having to see to kids etc when you feel ill. Hope you start to improve as the day goes on.

Have got to take my friend to Sainsburys later (she is carless ATM) but will reist buying anything. Does anyone know when the milk bag offer ends?

Biscuitmad- your freezer sounds like mine :D

Going shopping with Mum later, we have a £7 off £50 in Mr T's so I'm pleased 'cos we will just spend £25 each (if I'd gone on my own my will power would have failed and I'd have spent £50 to get the £7 off).

Getting some chicken out tonight and using some frozen peppers up to get rid of one of the many fajita kits lurking in the cupboard. yum!

Got a massive pack of jus-rol pastry in the freezer - bought it 2 years ago...will it still be OK? Totally unopened, no idea what to do with it, just thought it would be useful. Clearly not
