I agree with other posters Edwardia - I really found your posts interesting and hope you don't leave!

Was hoping for NSD but went to the little Tesco and bought a meal deal for £2.50 for DD's lunch as she is off sick. No excuses - just lazy!

made a traybake last night with some bottled cherries I got in the Lidl the other day. It turned out nice and I have cut and frozen it in little squares [STRIKE]to stop me scoffing the lot[/STRIKE]for lunchboxes.

dinner tonight was beef strogonoff made using a smallish piece of rump steak from the freezer and some mushrooms, onions and a blob of soured cream. It was niceand made enough for all of us, but I overseasoned it a bit and now am mad thirsty!!

I have to watch the pennies until I get my next pay cheque which should be next monday. I love the freedom of being self employed but because money comes in dribs and drabs it is difficult to budget. I did a huge excel spreadsheet of my budget for the rest of the year though but it will only work if I get my fees in on time!!

My freezer is about two thirds full at the moment and my cupboards are the same.

Florenceem - can you lend me some of your self control please? I have no willpower when it comes to chocolate at all - I just have to not have it in the house. I am not quite as bad with crisps but i don't have them in the house either as I do sometimes get the urge for crisp butties!!
No crisp butties for me - don't have crisps in the house. I only have at most one slice of HM bread a day. Got my will power from my Dad. He saw his Doctor - she told him - he should stop smoking. Dad smoked strong ciggies - Senior Service. He came out of the Doctors - threw his cigarettes in a bin and never smoked again.

Not really planning, just I'll have the option when this annual budget is over. Money spent on chocolate could be better spend on "proper" food at the moment, hence being restrained. A budget sure makes sure you prioritise to a degree.

Veggie day completed, I had another stir fry. Carrot and coriander soup for tomorrow and free breakfast tomorrow from Ikea - treat from Brother for all the help.

No further spends tonight and got a few coupons to use tomorrow or Thursday in Sainsbury's. Trying to meal plan around what I've got, don't really want to be buying much fresh stuff. Got some mozzarella to use, so possibly naan bread pizzas tomorrow night or Thursday??

Late coffee, some crisps and some cooking chocolate to dip in coffee!! :D

    evening all.

so i didnt end up at kickboxing, my partner cancelled, but its o.k because my cousin called, she came to the area i was ms'ing in and we had 2 cheeky cocktails and a catch up at slug and lettuce, 241 cocktails, so did my ms jobs, done half of the reports, will do the others tomorrow morning.

i did end up having a cheese and gammon muffin this morning, just the one for lunch i had a wholemeal wiltshire ham sandwich from pret a slice of lemon cake and a mint tea, for dinner i had a cheese and bacon panini, all reimburseable so its all good, gave my final baguette to my cousin, she had just come from the maternity clinic and bless her she was starving! also got some treats in marks and spencers, mmm yummy.m yesterday, wont be making anything else aside from veg and coleslaw tomorrow, gonna have a bit of rice, but will lay off the carbs as i think overdosed and feel a bit bloated, no jobs to do tomorrow just the post office run.

still got a bit of the gammon left and 3 drumticks fro

Lol. No, that's exactly what I had. :D
Try dipping a strip of chocolate in coffee like a biscuit - luvvly jubbly. Melts the chocolate, just a little.

ms_night_ryder - do you do ms on a regular basis and several per day?? Did it a few years ago, but only about 2 per month and only eventually did restaurants that we really fancied. Do you ever get hotels to stay in for the night?? Only ever did one overnight, but pub with rooms rather than a hotel.

Looking forward to my Ikea breakfast later and might have a slice of toast with jam on first as breakfast will be approx. 10.45.

Find out later what my Lidl meat offer is, hope it's NOT the frying steak .............. rather have meatballs.

Made some sort of chow mein noodle thing last night with a pack of turkey chunks out the fridge and noodles out of the cupboard. Was yum. Also got rid of a HM sausage casserole out of the freezer. I have room in there again :j

Also got rid of a ham and two bags of whoopsied donuts.

Still going to not try to fill the freezer up again until I've eaten the majority of stuff as it is desperately in need of defrosting!

Thanks quintwins, my store hasn't updated yet. Sometimes they update late Tuesday and other times a Wednesday night. I'll get a leaflet later when passing.
Nothing needed to be honest, but I like to just re-stock on a weekly basis when stuff is cheap and just keep ticking over.

ammonite - I'm loving noodle dishes at the minute.

Morning all, i will have to dive into chest freezer later on to locate some stirfry mix. Spicy duck noodles for tea tonight. Duck was cooked last night so just needs shredding later on.
