Morning, nice and bright this morning, but we are expecting "warm rain" later. lol
Edwardia - hope you re-consider, good luck whatever you decide.
Veggie day today, cheese on toast for breakfast, hubby's having veggie Biryani (one of those "India on Platter meals) and not too sure about anything else yet. I might make some carrot and coriander soup.
Got to get Brother's shopping today from Asda and nothing needed myself. I'll get some more Vitalite later in the week though, possibly another 4 tubs to last a few weeks.
This time next week we'll be sitting on a plane waiting for take-off (if on time). lol
Wonder if we'll bring the Costa del Sol some rain like we did to the Algarve!!!! Better pack my brolly.

ms_night_ryder um if I thought I was funny that would make me a big head or a comedian, probably both. So er thanks, I think..
I'm leaving MSE now though because I'm tired of people on other threads taking pot shots at me because (a) I low carb (b) I shop at Waitrose as well as Lidl (c) I don't feed myself and husband on stuff from Approved Foods and (d) after spending a week in hospital on a drip with blood from my stomach exiting my posterior like a bad TOTM I'm not overly keen to ever get food poisoning again so don't YS much - and last time I did I got the ammonia fish courtesy of Morrisons.
So thanks you're lovely and wish you all moneysaving success xxx
That's a shame, because I really enjoy this thread and your post are always so informative!
I really don't get why people get so nasty on here, I thought the ethos of this place was to help each other save money and get some of those bargains?!
Anyway, if you do decide to leave, all the best for the future xWins 2016: Dogfest ticks, B&M dog Hamper, Dog food, Dog blanket, Hair product, meal for 2 and wine at pub, craft bundle, organic surge gift pack, £100 gullivers world voucher, stress out cd, £200 seascape vouchers, popcorn maker, mandarin body butter, Wishing for a holiday win!0 -
Edwardia I did not realise anyone was being rude to you, I agree with Blackandwhitebunny that all posts, if they are not having a dig at people are good and i loved reading your posts. Take care.0

edwardia i hope you reconsider, it's up to everyone how they chose to feed there familys, your doing the right thing for yours
we went away yesterday and packed a picnic, had half price fish and chips on the way home, it was very wet but the kids had a good day.
Today is the last day we have the old house so i'm doing the last few bits then we can rest for a few days, feeling abit fluy, meals look like toast of breakfast, pasta for lunch and gonna try the southern fried chicken with chips and beans for tea as it could be a late one.
With regards to steaks i never buy steaks from the supermarket, or even frying steaks for casarole ect, i tend to use cheaper cuts like beef shin in my slowcooker and supermarket ones are ok, but for a proper steak and chips it really does have to be the buthers, i think this is good tho it makes it a nice treat, btw my steak on sat was yummy really tender and worth every penny, was talking to hubby and i think we'll start buy more meat from there, i hadn't acually been before, my mil had tho and she gave me some of hers, also they big packs of chickens we buy in makro can be bought there cheaper, and they do 2.2 kg of mince for £9 so we will be getting that nice time aswell, and there gammon was a fab price the same size gammon would have cost me £4 more from tesco.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Edwardia its a shame you feel like that, I shop in m&s sometimes, i guess you could call it my guilty pleasure lol, I don't mind what other people think of that each to their own.
Was going to have some gammon and a egg and muffin but cba, so u will wait until lunch, which will be something from Pret, ms job, then onto the others and then Kickboxing.

Morning all. I seem to have recovered from Sunday night, and finally have some energy, although still could have slept for another hour or so, but at least it doesn't feel as tho I'm made of bricks! Yesterday was a completely wasted day.
For lunch I'm going to have a chicken wrap today with Nando's spice and watercress, rocket and baby spinach leaves.
Tea is going to be minced pork in lettuce wraps. Ds should find that fun and messy. Need to buy hoisin sauce for a dip. Also need to buy a few things for pack up for ds.
Feeling hungry as haven't had much since Sunday lunch. Looking forward to dinner!
Need to pop into town sometime this week. Want to get some baking equipment. Saw some decent baking trays in TKMaxx at the weekend so will buy one. Have a cheap Pyrex one and it warps during cooking. Bloody rubbish.
Lynsey - how long you going away for this time?
Edwardia - you seem to be forgetting about the other people who find your posts amusing, inspirational, friendly and informative. There's a whole bunch of those people who enjoy your posts, so don't let the nasty side of MSE get to you. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Edwardia i do hope you log back on soon, i find it very irritating when people feel they have to judge and be rude. I have learned a lot from your posts regarding how you overcame your illness.
I rather like waitrose & m&s, if they were not in the town centre i suspect i would use them more.
On a brighter note the chicken kebabs we were meant to have last night will be served tonight instead. I might be able to squeeze a spare portion for lunch tomorrow, Spicy duck noodles will be served tomorrow evening instead. Nothing for the freezer.Grocery Challenge 24th Feb-28 Dec 2012 £2000/£1404

Good that you are on the mend.
Hols?? 8 nights, away next Tuesday and back on the Wednesday (15th - 23rd).
Agree regarding Edwardia - post for the ones who enjoy and want to read and NOT for those who just want to argue.
Spend in Asda and not planned!!
Just 30 bob though, or £1.50 in new money. lol
Packs of Kettle crisps were on the reduced shelf because the packets were opened a little - just the outer pack and NOT the 5 packets inside - so 50p for 5 packets of Kettle crisps - only took the one pack.
Reduced fine sea salt also - 25p per tub, so bought 2 tubs as 2016 use by date.
Bread, Brother wanted a small tiger loaf and they were 2 for £1 or 70p each, so I went halfers and we got one each for £1 - 50p each (I actually got the poppy seeded bloomer).
£1.50 to add to budget.
See what Sainsbury's have on offer tonight, but scaling down now and really hoping I have a blank week with "whoopsies" now.

Edwardia - I've found your posts very informative and really hope you come back.
Lip_Stick I love the cooking & baking stuff in TKMaxx, find Wilkinsons good as well.
Went over to my parents yesterday. My mum had a delievery from Tesco the previous evening and they'd forgetten a few items but still charged her for them  Cue panic as she was cooking for 6 of us and it being bank holiday, our local tesco & co-op weren't open. Ended up driving to the local waitrose and got the bits that were needed. Also got myself some lovely whoopsied bread and sliced ham from the deli bit. Did cost more that tesco but not hugely.
Really fancy a steak after this talk about it :rotfl:0 -
Edwardia I hope you reconsider, your posts are really informative. If people are upsetting you then click 'ignore' on thir posts, then you won't see what they say. You came on here for a reason so don't let others drive you awayA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
