I'll look later, hitting quite a few shops today as printed lots and lots of coupons - see what I can find. Those L'Oreal ones are brill.

Actually, you'll be right. I didn't really read the thread. :o Dad mentioned he'd seen some to mum and I heard him mention 'crown', but now I also remember mum saying how she didn't like turkey leg.

hmmm will have a scout about to see what you're talking about with these L'Oreal coupons.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

    Hi y'all xx

NSD for me today I think. Have done a lot of walking on top of the 13 hr fast for blood test and need to rebuild energy ! I am determined not to get tempted by the Lidl offers therefore.

Pantry cupboard now groaning - kinda surprising it hasn't fallen off the wall ! That has to be inventoried along with the freezer, this weekend.

Morning all, waiting in for my af order, depending on when it comes i might have a pot noodle for lunch :) (i love pot noodles but £1 each is shocking so we never get them, 20p each is more to my liking i tried all the fake ones but didn't like them), not heading to mil now so gonna do meatballs for tea, had abit of toast and jam for lunch.

So tired and achy today hope i'm not getting hubbys cold, my arms and knees are sore and i feel like someones kicked me in the side :(

I'm sure you've relised by now we love abit of takeaway, and the kids prefer mcd's or fish and chips and we love our chinese, but we do try to limit it we've only been realy bad lately because we've been moving our new rule is chinese for us at the end of the month, gonna clear soem freezer space for things like burgers and pizza we have have instead, ok so it's cheaper to make our own and nicer most of the time, but the highlight of takeaway is it doesn't involve me having to cook, hubby's family get alot of takeaway i was never that bad til i met him, then i feel mean saying no because he works so hard he should be able to get what he wants and it's not like w ecan't afford it.

I am getting huge satisfaction from using up what I have in rather than on the constant hamster wheel of shopping.

Totally agree! This week I'm finally getting into eating from my freezer and enjoying baking things in the pantry. Made a lovely Victoria Sandwich with AP foods jam from yonks ago and my huge store of flour bought from Bigbrandsforless. :D

I must get some printed. Dont have a Sainsbugs near really but I hear that MrT has them on offer (even if smaller sizes).

Today I'm making pizza with some mix from AP foods and I'll also make up some potato salad with my stockpile of tatties. That will be nice with salad I need to use up from the fridge.

I think I'll have the last slice of Victoria Sandwich with a film this afternoon while I finish hemming some dusters I've made from a pretty flannel sheet I got from a charity shop.
Lovely material, cream with little rosebuds on and the dusters could be straight out of a Cath Kidston shop window. :p
Seeing as the sheet cost me £1 and I'm getting dozens of things made from it it was a bargain. :T

    Morning.

    Feels like that at times!!

Toasted raisin bread in a moment, think last of it (sadly) and need more when reduced.

Florenceem - you like your cooking, Mr F must be spoilt. lol

Need to use some fish tomorrow, got one lot of whiting fillets left, reduced to 15p from £2 and might make some fish-cakes??

    Have fun.

    Lynsey
Yes I enjoy cooking but Mr F doesn't eat too much! Portion control! :D Don't forget I have been his dietitian and slimmed him down from the 22 + stone he was when we met - to 14 stone now. (Before we met he peaked at 27 stone ) Now he has a brilliant BOSSY wife - he thinks this! - weight is off and stays off - I want to keep my wonderful Mr F! :j

Morning all. Feeling tired this morning, slept in as my alarm didn't go off. Glad it's the ex's day to take ds to school!

No idea what I'm having for lunch today, will check out the cupboards. Chilli for tea.

Will be needing a few bits soon, like soups, stock cubes and lentils. Anyone know if any place has heinz on offer? They're getting dear now. I saw those long thin packets of soup where you add water to them for almost 60p! You could get a proper tin for that a year ago.

Skint at the mo as waiting for csa to go in, and it's a bit late this month. Hate having to deal with them.

    Lynsey - Turkey!
What about making soup? Economical plus no additives/chemical preservatives!

  • afternoon all!
Well I spent the other afternoon doing a list of everything in the freezer and cupboards! Suffice to stay there is still a lot!!!...
Definitely enough for breakfasts for a month (if not more!!) but will need to stock up on fruit.

Lunches- again LOADS of crackers, frozen reduced bread (had to farm some off to in -laws freezer!), tuna, cheese etc.. crisps/treats and may need some yogurts at some point in a couple of weeks.

Dinners - as above - quite a few frozen bits n bobs 2x pizzas , 1 box fish fingers, 3 packs quorn (burgers/mince/chicken style pieces) plus curry sauce, chinese sauces, tinned tomatos/veg, 1 pack of sausages to make into casserole and a few boxes of veggie sausauges which I will have with salad/yorkshire puds to make up a few random meals.

Also a few days supply of eggs/ baked beans/spaghetti for some "on toast" meals when all else fails!!and enough in the baking cupboard to make cakes and treats to last the month!

Am gonna attempt to stick to budget for this month ( I say that every month tho!) and come on here for inspiration!

Will also check out those coupons.... I love a good bargain!

I'm going to heat up the last of the hm soup for oh & me, i think i shall make some cheese on toast to go with it. It will save me struggling to put it in the freezer also i have some mild cheddar to use. I wont be making that mistake again. I will grate the remainder to add to a pizza next time i make one. Wont take much room that.

Yeah suppose I could, but need to clear room in my freezer if I make a big batch.
