Skint!!!!
Dentist's pay day and he accepted it.........naughty boy!!
I'm getting some extra work done and no extra charge as £204 is the max I can pay for this set of treatment...............and it's more than enough!!
brighteyes1987 - hope you daughter is feeling better.
She couldn't be allergic to new beds could she??
Lip_Stick - just kidding about the Chuckle Brother's, if they get anyone laughing, then they've done their job. They do look naturally funny though. lol
Spent £6.53 so far and got bits and bobs and some crisps and chocolate raisins for treats. Morries were reducing bread stuff, but NOT at normal Saturday evening prices, but managed to get 2 packs of Warburtons tea-cakes for 25p per pack and 2 packs of garlic and coriander mini naan breads for 19p per pack. Found a cheap place for eggs (free range), but sadly had already bought some from Lidl at 95p (wasted 20p!!!).
Edwardia - checked Morries for some Quorn offers, but too dear. Looking at £1 or just over to try first. Morries did have Linda McCartney cheese, leek and red onion plaits on offer for £1 - nearly bought some for tomorrows veggie day, but I'll wait until next week perhaps - being frugal this week.
VfM4meplse - "Buying anything at full price would be agony" and I don't intend to suffer from that, not until I have to!!

The Quorn fillets are still on offer for £1 and they are the best value and most useable in stir fry or sauces etc, seem to get more weight wise than the pieces I think (though haven't checked exactly) but it seems to go further in meals - they were in the end cabinet not the main Quorn section yesterday.
The Linda M plaits I found slightly bland. I wasn't over keen on those. I think the sausage rolls were also on offer yesterday, they are quite nice but not really a meal, more a snack type thing.0 -

Kirri, was that in Morries??
If yes, I'll check tomorrow. I was thinking of a stir fry.

Yes, sorry, in Morries but it's the final week of the offer, think it ends on the 8th. They are always really popular for a Quorn offer so the main section where the offer price is, is nearly always empty (in my store they put them at the end by the tills as well and the other customers don't seem to think of looking there luckily!).0 -
Mmm, I suppose I can get a bit complacent with whoopsies. I'm happy with 50% off (on some things) but do aim for 70% plus, especially with bread.
Made yummy pasta with pesto & mozzarella tonight. Got a busy day at work tomorrow so made a lasagna today for the family tomorrow. Had to pop into the co-op to get another tin of tomatoes & they had bags of bananas reduced to 25p :T Got two, one bag's gone - made banana muffins & will probs make banana bread with the other bag. Peeled & chucked them in to mum's freezer (they freeze really well).
Hope your LO is better soon BE.0 -

I know what you mean.
50% off meat which is already on offer is more acceptable I suppose, but not on high non-offer prices.
Reduced bread always does for toast etc., you can't go wrong.
Kirri - thanks, hope to get a few packs tomorrow.

Evening all
Well, went to Tesco and spent a shed load!!! Virtually nothing on groceries either. I happened to look at where they keep a lot of reduced household items and there was a load of toys with about 75% off so I ended up buying him his birthday pressies from other people. I did phone to ask first lol. Also bought a couple of those ultimate light sabers that were £40 at Christmas. They were £9.50 each, so he has the darth vadar and luke skywalker ones. That's his birthday sorted but means I'm skint until I get the money back!
Ended up getting washing tablets, loo rolls and frying oil from Tesco. Went to a pet store and spent £15 on the rats. Nipped to home bargains when I got back and bought easter eggs for the nieces and nephews (still need to buy ds') plus some satay noodles for tea, which weren't that nice. Then went to Asda and spent about a tenner.
Still need to go into town and buy the theatre tickets and get ds his easter egg which will be from m&s as I have the £15 voucher. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
had to get a few bits today although tomorrow will be heavier on the wallet.
Spent just under a tenner at Nisa and Asda combined and got 4 x 4 pint milks, 4 x packs of wildlife tube yogurts, pack bacon, 10 packs tyrrells crisps (reduced to 20p pack in Nisa) and 3 packs of birds eye battered fish fingers (B1G2F in Nisa) so not a bad haul.
Dinner for the kids was homemade tikka massala with chicken cauli and chickpeas, rice and naan.
For us it is hunters chicken (reduced in tesco and frozen) with couscous (approved foods) and steamed veg (asda frozen offer). Hungry - hurry up and cooK!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

As I write this, OH is sitting next to me on the bed in suit, double cuff shirt, tie, cufflinks etc eating KFC. He nipped down to Sainsbury's for my Lactofree and picked it up on his way back.
I'm pigging The Co-operative Truly Irresistible Coleslaw. I've tried zillions of coleslaws and I reckon the Co-op does the best. The mayo is made with creme fraiche and double cream, it's only 4.4g carbs per 100g and has fresh snipped chives on top, to stir in. And currently, it's 50% extra free
Katskorner the tikka masala sounds yummy !
Lynsey, OH says try ASDA for the Quorn but he hasn't seen any for £1 in ASDA or Morrisons this week.
Lip_Stick you did really well on the toys.. and while OH is feeding dog, are there any meerkat toys ? OH birthday this month, he loves those ads <rolls eyes> I got him a meerkat birthday card but not changing insurers - seen any please ?0 -
Popped into Sainsbury's and got a few bargains, but not great tonight.
2 packs carrots @ 19p each - 38p
1 Carte D'or light - 87p
1 pack honeycomb pieces - 37p
Total spend = £1.62, making today's total £8.15.
Carte D'or was a strange one, they are re-sizing the packs down to 900ml and were selling off the 1 litre packs - sadly I got the last one and only there because of a broken lid (still sealed) - should have asked for a further reduction. lol
Non-budget, bought a vase with candle inside for £4 - probably be cheaper soon as only half-price...........and £8 was way OTT - nice though and a little treat.
Edwardia - thanks, hope to pick up some tomorrow.
