    Evening all.

Today was fun, if you like your house trashed with lots of screaming! Of course I told my sil they were no trouble. :D

Went to Asda and bought pizza, cucumber, biscuits, bread, cakes and a few packets of wedge seasoning as they were 80p each or 2 for £1.

Had pizza for dinner and cold lo pizza for tea. Ds is with his dad from tomorrow and stopping over at his mam's until sometime Thursday. Will miss him. :(

Need to pop out for theatre tickets for the Chuckle Brothers and get some essentials like loo roll.

BE - glad your bed was ok. :D

VfM4meplse - Get well soon, they're draining respiratory infections.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Must be a connection there. lol
Lip_Stick - keep off that cooking sherry!! :rotfl:

AlwaysHappy - I just put the full bag of bread mix in with the required water and set on dough setting, I'm pretty much an amateur with bread-makes, in fact most gadgets - I do seem to collect them though!!
Good luck and follow Kirri's advice. I may try a half-bag next time.

brighteyes1987 - what time did you wake up. ;)

NSD and electrician was cheap, even cheaper with the coupons. :D
Desperate for milk and sugar tomorrow...........at least. That list will be made tomorrow!!

Still got loads of OOD single cream (only OOD today and tomorrow of course) - if it's all right I'll be making a pasta meal with a jar of Dallaglio - pasta done in cream and ham ribons and topped with sauce.

Got insured on my dad's car as am round theirs dog sitting whilst they're away. Was wonderful to be able to get into it instead of waiting for buses, when my brother rang at quarter to ten wanting to be picked up...now I remember the downsides of car ownership ;)

Anyway popped into the co-op while I was waiting for him, got bread reduced to 21p, frying steak reduced to a pound & bagels at 34p. Not the best whoopsies I've had, but sorts out a meal next week & needed to get bread anyway.

I remember saying on here that I was shocked by my mum's bread stash but seeing as both my parents & brother take sandwiches into work everyday, I realised how quickly they get through it! Shows I'm used to just buying for one now :rotfl:

Interesting what you were saying about the marina Edwardia I remember Brighton marina was like that, beautiful yachts ect then a massive Asda superstore & other identikit shops right behind it....maybe after buying a yacht these people can't afford to shop anywhere else :rotfl:

^ Not forgetting the Wetherspoons at Brighton Marina and the free parking - though I have used both multiple times! Great views from the pub.. Isn't there a McD's as well?! Eastbourne is on my to do list but I might give the Marina a miss then.

I do think sometimes you can get complacent with "whoopsies" and can be disappointed when they are not in abundance. lol
I don't know how many times I've picked up "whoopsies" which weren't great and dithered and dithered whether to take them - sometimes even putting them back, especially this year.
Do you have a target discount %?? Mine is 70%+ off where possible, but love it when stuff is reduced to 10p, even 5p at times!!

I need to buy today, just trying to top up really these next 2 weeks and use some freezers stuff.
If I see any Quorn items for around £1 today/tomorrow, then I'll have some - never tried Quorn stuff in stir fry's, but want too.
Total spend this week so far is only 50p!! Plenty of budget left!!

Cheese on toast for breakfast and pasta meal later.

Got 4 Groupons to use up and 1 is about to expire and may use up this weekend or next week - saves a meal!!

    Morning,
My target is 50% off for meat, chicken etc, but fruit and veg and bread is generally 20p or 25p an item unless I'm pretty much out of stock. Most of our fruit and veg comes from the market but I always keep an eye out for ys and during term time buy for two others on our staff who're in dire straights financially. I have to go into the shops nearly every day for school ingredients anyway so its easy enough for me to check what's on offer.
I'm off into school today to catch up on some marking and then to a friend's house for lunch. I'm giving her a turkeyfrom my freezer for Easter (I'll only have three left then:rotfl:) which means a nice big space, but I'm sure I'll fill it fairly soon.:rotfl:
I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly :D

blackandwhitebunny - well done on helping others, nice to see and I applaud you. :T
How many turkeys did you have??
BTW - which area of the country are you in??

Weather-wise - snow never lay in my immediate area, far too wet and more like sleet. Sun is popping his head out, though looks pretty cold and heating is on this morning!!
Dentist time at just after 11am and pay day...........for him anyway. :(

I have been shopping! Spent about £75 and apart from dog treats and rump steak got everything in lidl. I like going early because of their reduced stuff, got reduced bacon, gammon joint (all well in date?!) etc etc so pleased.

Half price weekend offers are carrots, parsnips, lamb shanks - good for easter. Will try and get some as £2.50 for lamb is not to be sniffed at!

Lynsey and b&wbunny - total respect for target discounts! Wish I could do the same but I eat so little that is processed I would starve to death if I relied on whoopsies! I guess it does make you more creative in the kitchen, though buying anything at full price must be agony :o.

26 days to go and still a freezer full of stuff to be eaten. Spicy butternut soup defrosting in the fridge today.

It rained a lot overnight but is lovely and sunny (although chilly) today.

for whoopsies my meat target is 50% and i never pay more than £1 for a packet of sausages, bread i never pay more than 30p a loaf as thats how much a hm one costs me, fruit and veg is anything aslong as i was gonna buy it/can use it.

tesco have therre frozen value sausage rolls on bogof there only 88p so thats 100 sausage rolls for 88p less than 1 each has gotta be good, we've had them before and they we're bad so i'm gonna grab a few bags (for now til i see if hubby likes them because i don't think he's ever had them we've only had them for lunches if he does i'll grab as many bags as i can squeeze in at the weekend) a bag of frozen chips (again value we do like these :) and i've no spuds ) and some beans today for a quick tea(again tesco have 4 for £1 so i'm buying these to try we usually have branstons but these are cheaper and if there ok could be worth stocking up, if not i'll use them in chilli and order some branstons from amazon) also wanna get a few bottles of vinegar for cleaning my toilet, altho i don't think my tesco sells value ones so that might have 2 wait, i'm gonna be in town meeting friends anyway.

breakfast was toast, and i'm gonna do the kids pasta before we leave at 1 as food in the soft play area is really dear, will bring a choccy bar each for them and a drink so hopefully no spends other than admission and the bits i grab in tesco
