Morning all. What a horrible, miserable day it is here. Glad ds is with his dad soon lol. Just been playing 'shops and robbers' with him, not sure school would approve. :D

No idea what I'm doing for meals. I made cheese on toast for brekkie but ds didn't want his. He had a good night's sleep last night, from about 5:30 pm 'til 7:30 am. Think he had some catching up to do!

Not sure if today will be a NSD. Don't have to go out, and with this weather, don't want to go out, but asked Dad if he was passing sometime over the next couple of days if he'd give me a lift to Asda to get some bulky things. May actually go to Tesco as I have clubcard vouchers. *Scrap that, he's just rang and we're going today*

For whoopsies targets - lately I'm grateful for getting anything off. :( I don't mind having a 3rd off, if it's something I like or will use but I won't go mad with just that discount. I also won't buy something if it's reduced to £2.50 from £4.00, but you can get them in an offer anyway, 2 for £5. I may try to visit Asda this evening when the discounts are due since ds won't be at home.

Lynsey - I couldn't stand the Chuckle Brothers when I was growing up, dad used to like um! Still not keen on them now lol. Mind you, think I prefer that to sickly sweet princesses! Having a boy aint so bad lol.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Freezing here today. Hammering with rain but at least the snowflakes stopped a couple of hours ago.

Yesterdays meal plans went out of the window. Got lazy. Did lads McCain pizza fingers (50p with coupon ;) ) & chips and then called for a takeway in the evening as we had to go travelling to pick up an ebay item. :)

Today I'm feeling equally lazy so am doing Sausage Casserole with reduced sausages I defrosted. Will use up some veg with that.
Shall serve with jacket spuds as its a day for that kind of food.

Alone in the house today so might have a treat for lunch. Prawn sarnies sound nice with a cream scone for pud. (got some scone reduced, have a massive bucket of jam from AP foods I got for 99p and have squirty cream from AP too that was 2 for £1. Love a bargain! :D )

Oh oh, snow back again. Pouring down. :(

Lynsey and b&wbunny - total respect for target discounts! Wish I could do the same but I eat so little that is processed I would starve to death if I relied on whoopsies! I guess it does make you more creative in the kitchen, though buying anything at full price must be agony :o.

26 days to go and still a freezer full of stuff to be eaten. Spicy butternut soup defrosting in the fridge today.

It rained a lot overnight but is lovely and sunny (although chilly) today.

Very much the same here! The basic food items never really seem to be reduced apart from veg.

Plan for today is miss breakfast and have a brunch instead of fried egg muffin (wish I'd got mushrooms yesterday) then just a stir fry for dinner as I have some veg to use up, probably with Quorn or tofu and rice.

There is a limit to the amount of pot-luck soup you can make :D.

Still not sure about growing my own tomatoes and strawberries. The fox left a right mess in my back garden the other day - of the short brown feathery variety, I'm sure it had got hold of a chicken, although TG there's no carcass. That is nature's way I suppose :(. I don't understand why there are still so many squirrels and birds hopping about though? They normally disappear whilst the fox is around.

I have so much soup in my freezer but I just don't really like soup.. :( still, it has to be eaten at some point!

May as well give it a go, there's lots of free seed offers floating about on the freebies board and strawberry runners can be got for £1 ish or if you know anyone nearby they could give you runners for free later in the summer. Poor chicken or whatever it was :( I do love seeing foxes though.

Bless her. I remember having horrible tummy bugs when I was little, lying in beed with a bucket next to me for me to be sick into...it was awful but it doesn't last long. I wish her better.

Only time my parents would let me have time off school was if I was throwing up, otherwise I had to go, even if I had a temperature. Head teacher bawled em out more than once for doing it.

OH taking me out to lunch on my birthday next week hope it's as nice a day as today ! Sunny here, not a cloud in the sky.

Brunch was two fried FR eggs in olive oil and butter with a pile of reduced price button mushrooms from Tesco Express.

Got two £10 off a £100 online shop coupons thru post today from Waitrose which will be great to shove more duck legs in freezer after Easter !

Decided I will use the fish pie mix (Morrisons), langoustines (Morrisons), red gurnard (Morrisons) in freezer for a soupe de poissons over Easter as this would empty the freezer a bit.

Hope you're all well and warm xx

Unfortunately there isn't one here V4M and when I go out on my birthday next week I don't think there's one on the way back from the restaurant either :(

OH got me the cutest little dab with parsley in Morrisons last night only 69p and that wasn't YS !

Lynsey & Kirri I like using Quorn in dishes I would use chicken chunks in because it absorbs the flavours better and I think much of the boneless skinless chicken breast fillets these days are tasteless.
