Well done on the bed assembly BE!
Fab bargains garnetlady.
No breakfast this morning - just a cup of coffee. For lunch I noodles with some chopped up ham shank meat, spring onions and sweetcorn in - it was really nice but incredibly filling. Dinner tonight is likely to be chicken breast with jacket potato and salad, but it is really cold here today so I might make a sort of roast dinner with the chicken instead.
We call sandwiches butties here too, and bread rolls are barm cakes and buns have fruit in them.
I am thinking about making a couple of simnel cakes later on. i still have all the stuff from the Mary Berry cake mixes which I got cheaply at christmas and they will make nice presents. I am not sure though as I really don't really feel like baking and sometimes I think stuff doesn't turn out well if you're not in the mood IYKWIM.
Need to go to Aldi for my friend who is currently car-less - I said I would get her some bits. I don't really need anything but might get some pasta.Jane

Do you like mushy peas Recovering? Hear they are only 10p now at Aldi and I'm seriously tempted as I love them on jacket potatoes.

Cheerfulness - mushy peas sound like a real bargain. I've never eaten them before but I know they're bright green hence must be good for you. Got another 27 days to go at least before I intend to buy any more food.
Suffering from a second respiratory infection in 7 weeks - don't know what's wrong with me as I'm fit and young(ish). No breakfast but just had a half serving of spicy chickpea curry from the freezer which is decongesting me nicely.
Bought a pair of jeans this l/t - no size 12L so bought a 10L in the sale in the hope that it might fit and I might have dropped a size through eating v little this past 3 weeks. Wrong! - if I get down to size 10 it'll be osteoporosis and not weight loss.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

OMG I love mushy peas - although I haven't had them on jacket potatoes. I have got some waitrose faggots in the fridge though and really fancy having them with that - will get some if they've any in!!
vfm4meplease - sorry about your respiratory infection - onions are meant to be very good so the chickpea curry will have done you good! Size 12 jeans - haven't been a size 12 since I WAS 12!!!
Lynsey - why don't you cook the Wrights seedy bread in the breadmaker? I have some of that in my store and was intending to just throw it in on rapid bake - but am I better to put it on dough and then bake in the oven?Jane

No, no myth!! I might have to pop out to buy a carrot for the Snowman's nose.

Jane, I find fully baking in the bread-maker makes the bread "spongy".
Also, I have the option of making buns/baps/rolls/stotties etc. :rotfl:

Lol @ baps :rotfl:
Rain here today at last, glad I got home before it started.. been in vets (large bill  ) and then treated myself as I had £6 of LV's to use, so got my Tyrrells crisps at last and some Quorn beef to go with my rollsPicked up another pack of the Quorn fillets as still on offer and some veg and household items, total spend £1.03
The Muppets kitchen towel offer had finished but went to Wilkos and got some own brand for 50p instead on the reduced counter - not sure why it was reduced?! I've tried to cut down on my kitchen towel use though (replaced with dish cloths etc) but I still use some on the toilet or pet cages as I'd rather not wash cloths used on those!
For anyone doing the Wrights mixes in the bm, they seem to have a lot of yeast in, the ciabatta is the worst as you literally must halve it even though the breadpan can do a large loaf, with the ciabatta it would be out the door! The oat and linseed was also very yeasty and almost oozed out the top so best either halve the mix or keep an eye on the dough and take it out if necessary.0
