Thanks for the support Lip_Stick.............hope that's not just the drink talking. lol
Just the 2 of us, so makes life easy and we started with around 5 or 6 months worth of stuff to play around with, just need to add a few bits and bobs to make meals and stock up on "whoopsies" .............. sounds simple and so far it has been. I was a little worried initially, but not now.........................BRING IT ON.

Just analysed my Feb spends and despite the total amount of £75.82 I'm quite pleased that I've really only bought extra essentials mainly rather than too many meal items and have obviously eaten out of the cupboard more than I thought!!
3 x butter, 4 x cheese, 4 x eggs, 3 x flour, 2 x milk
1 each of lentils, mayo, veg burgers, naan bread, Quorn beef slices
= £32.39
Rest was on fruit & veg
= £43.43
So well pleased really
Lipstick, I'd be too knackered to think about going out at this time of night lol!0 -

kirri i'd have rather gone to bed i think as I was shattered. had a good night though, Is a long while since ive had a late like this,
there was a guy tho in a car who was trying to get me to have a lift with him outside the club and to keep warm in his car... funny tho cos I only live round the corner so told him no lol... plus my mate phoned me when i'd got home and told me she was watching me talking to him.. so is good to know she was looking out for me.. not that i'd have gone with him!!.
time to sleep night snight alThere's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Something else MSE has occurred to me...it must have been well over 2 years since I spent any money travelling to buy food. Either I go by foot (easy enough as I have several supermarkets close by), or use a travelcard if I am out and about anyway. It would not occur to me to use petrol / pay a fare specifically for any shopping trip. The other big advantage being I only buy what I can comfortably carry.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Morning all and VfM4meplse, I woke early this morning, but you beat me!! Might try your face-mask tip with the gram flour once I get some "whoopsied" yoghurt. Fantastic that you save all those travelling expenses, those are probably higher than our food costs at present!!
We are out virtually everyday anyway, helping my brother etc and luckily most of the BIG 4 are on our doorstep, slightly out of walking distance really. Petrol costs is something we are looking at reducing and this month is probably one of our lowest.
Hot cross buns toasted with coffee soon and out to help friend decorate and clean daughters house. Snack day today and maybe jacket potato later.
Lip_Stick - sounds like you had a good night - enjoy your lie in.

Ditto, trying not to use my car for food at all these days as I don't consider it a necessity if I can walk it - I hate supermarket car parks anyway with careless people parking close to me and also it just adds unnecessary costs to food, but I used to drive once a week to Waitrose. I am covering a lot of ground on foot though and spending a lot less on food!!
and hope you feel better soon..
Lipstick, just as well you didn't get in, 'keep warm' indeed!!
Sun's out here, decent breakfast coming up and off out.0 -
