He takes after me of course!!! His dad's a complete... ah, never mind!
Wish they'd do foody coupons too. Not that I need any. You've just reminded me that I needed bread when I went to the shop. Damn it.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Lip_stick , thanks for birthday wishes for LO, tomorrow we'll just feed the ducks, go to the park and have a Birthday tea, that kind of thing, Saturday we're heading off to a wildlife park for a day out, really looking forward to it!
Kirri, squash burgers are fab, I do mine with cumin, chilli and garlic and bind with a little oil and some breadcrumbs, so tasty!
Lynsey, food coupons are whats needed now! I have sooo much household stuff, it's ridiculous!0 -
toast and 1/2 tin of L/o beans for my lunch today, dinner will be out the freezer, but what exactly i'm not sure at this moment in time!
Can't wait for payday!!Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Morning.
Happy Birthday to cherrypies little one - have a great day.
Hopefully some food type coupons will come along, something along the Sacla type would be nice.
Lip_Stick - hope you're feeling better today, if not get to the Drs and get it looked at.
bramble1 - diced chicken is a great choice, did you get the 17p chocolate?? I would stock up on the diced chicken, doesn't come along that often and is so versatile.
Out early this morning to sort out some bureaucracy.
Toasted hot cross buns and make the sausages later, probably with mash and veg.
Hardly spent this week and still feel like I've got far too much stuff to use up!! Maybe just looking at that bag of onions!!
Have a great day, hope it goes better than what I'm expecting. lol

Have sorted through my inside freezer this morning and had a few surprises at the things I found and didn't realise I had. So a few things can be taken off my shopping list.
There is plenty to make meals with. Now off to meal plan and see if I can do without a food shop....0 -
My NSD didn't last long!!!
We had to pay the car tax and the Post Office is right next to Morries. Popped in and only bought 2 bottles of pop for £1 - had a look at the plants, but nothing caught my eye. Sometimes Morries have half-decent plant offers and they also reduce quite a lot when new stock comes in.
So £1 to add to budget and will definitely spend tomorrow, so no NSD's this week -though highest days spend has only been £3.05 so far, so not a lot spent really.

thanks for birthday wishes Lynsey. LO has had a lovely morning but it all got to much for him so he's had to go back to bed for an hour! Could do with a nap myself! A play day today, duck feeding, a walk by the sea and then some ice cream at a lovely ice cream parlour on the sea front, thankfully we have decent weather for a change! Have a nice weekend everyone xx0

I have spent the past week eating out of the freezer and will do so until the start of the new month next week (and possibly beyond) I am so pleased at what I have conjoured up out of what I have got in store.I have spent just under three quarters of my 'food purse' cash this month and hopefully have enough to get me round until next Thursday without going near a shop.I haven't missed them at all and inventing new ways with existing food has been great and my imagination has been blowing on all four cylinders so to speak.A tin of sardines became both lunch and dinner to me last Tuesday I had it mashed with mayo in a wrap for lunch and the rest in a jacket spud with salad for dinner that night Today I have another wrap (from the freezer of course) with sweet chilli philly and celery chopped up and some shredded lettuce Its very filling when all bundled together and quite healthy as well I found three packs of wraps at the bottom of the freezer so they are all getting used up rather than going out to but bread.I have around three litres of long-life milk in the fridge so thats getting used up as well before I buy any fresh stuff Anything to keep me away from the shops I think

Hi everyone! Lovely weather here today so have decided to spring clean the house (badly but never mind it's better than nothing). Just got the bedrooms and the windows left to do but have decided to call it a day for now. Had a bacon barm for breakfast and have not long had a sachet of pasta and sauce - I love the macaroni cheese one - I add more cheese and english mustard and it's delish! Tea tonight is gnocchi and meatballs for kids - all out of the freezer, so haven't been to the shops today. I will have tuna salad. I will need to go shopping later as I haven't any bread or bread flour in! Think I will go later and see if I can get any bargains!
Am going to Blackpool pleasure beach tomorrow with DD2 and her friend - I HATE rides so am just going to [STRIKE]sit in the Starbucks[/STRIKE] watch them. I am thinking I might take a picnic as I don't know if the food in the park is expensive or not. Would probably only need sandwiches and a drink as they will be too busy on the rides plus they will have spending money which will probably go on candy floss and junk like that. Mercifully the park closes at 5 tomorrow so it won't be too long a day!!
Just made a microwave chocolate cake for the tea tonight - it hasn't turned out too bad! Just used cocoa powder, eggs, brown sugar, marg, hazlenuts, chopped up chocolate (found it in the back of the cupboard!) and a heaped tbs of Milo powder. It tastes nice!!Jane
