    Morning!!

Well i am carless today which means I can't go to lidl. The half prices deals are usually gone by midday here, so will have to give the sausages a miss this week. How annoying. So instead as we do need some bits and bobs like cheese and squash, and I have £10 tesco voucher and £5 nectar points I am going to head into town and see what i get for pennies there instead. We've enough meat to last till month end, so i'm going to try hard to really just buy the essential items we need for lunches and side dishes.

Yoghurt for breakfast today, lunch i am unsure of....might get something in the shops for a treat. Dinner is Fish and Chips out the freezer and I can decide if i should take out a chicken, belly of pork or the lamb shanks for tomorrow's dinner! I think chicken will win.

    Hiya all

I don't think I should have had any vino to medicate my headache last night. My head is absolutely banging.

I'm off to A$da with the folks today. They're doing a big shop so I might check if there are some trainers on the retail park for ds. Will get some cherry toms while I'm there but otherwise I don't need anything.

Tonight is probably going to be posh steak with wedges and peppercorn sauce to use up the last of it.

    Hey all

I havent been doing this since yesterday, went out with the girlies had lebanese, but i had alot for lunch, so had starter and half my main, so i have half today, i had a lamb shank and lebanese rice, was nice but huge!, so will have the rest for lunch, nsd today, will take a pie out the freezer, whoopsied to 89p it s a family sized chicken and veg from sains, got 2 big potatos, the only 2 left so will make mash, need to cut up my green beans and freeze, so will have some steamed with the pie, gonna make a sausage pasta for tomorrows dinner using up a pack of 4 from freezer so that will be a little bit gone.

I only just remembered, that i have 1 last voucher for a free 750ml of ice cream from oddonos the ice cream is fab, but the box is huge one of those polystyrene ones, so will need to be making space for that, runs out end of feb, so any space wont be filled until there is space for the box an d some whoopsies, so gotta eat away!

Also i need to make space by i think the 7th feb, as mr t's are doing a special chinese new year deal on ken hom ready meals etc, 2 mains and 2 sides for £5 so i might stock up, i do love chinese food but it does get expensive on takeaway so will get some in for when i fancy chinese, this will be out of nexts months budget though.

Not often I swear, but I'm going to tonight!!!!!

    The Yorkshires were ******* disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Used Pro Activ milk as that's all I had and they never rose, got to assume it was the milk - never again.
Just like thick pancakes, hope the birds like them.
Beef tasted lovely though and so did the gravy made with the juices.

Off to Morries in an hour.............hope they've got Yorkshires reduced. lol

lol ^^ sorry :D I don't get high rising yorkshires with soya milk but they are passable. Was your tin hot enough? What is pro-activ milk anyway, isn't it real milk??

and thanks, am feeling bit more normal today :)

Brunch - ciabatta and veggie sausage - was lovely.

Dinner - yet more red pesto pasta, this time with broccoli and more hm ciabatta. One more portion of both left so probably eat that tomorrow to get it used. Then next week instead of buying more new stuff will be freezer food I think...

Not used much out the stock this week though as mostly ate new stuff which wasn't ideal. Am thinking of reducing my budget down though and still could eat what I want, just with no wastage and better use of food stores.
  • Decided to use up some chips instead of making the mash, so cleared a bit more space, if i put the rest of the meat in the meat dreawer, then i will have a good bit of space, have decided i will make a garlic bread to go with my pasta tomorrow, using a baguette from freezer lol, think there is space for the ice cream now, so will get it on thursday.

    Evening all

Yes Lynsey, my headache has gone, about an hour ago.

I'd like to say I had a NSD but ended up buying toms, anchor light, some munchies for me and DS while we watched The Fantastic Four, pop, broccoli for the rats, philly and four boxes of paracetamol. Mam and Dad got two of them lol.

What narks me is I had a £1 voucher for the philly and a 300g tub was £1. The 200g was £1.97, so I was being a bit smug saying how I was getting it for nothing to my parents. Didn't give the cashier the bloody voucher did I! I only realised when I got home.

Got ds some trainers from Clarks reduced from £30 to £9. So that's him happy despite them not having flashing lights on the heels.

Kirri - glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. :)

ms_night_ryder - it's far too cold for ice cream!
