Your right Lynsey - they are all meals really so we are sorted for a good few weeks now. Still need to go to lidl for eggs, icing sugar, and walnuts for baking. I'm waiting to see if my half price offers are different to KCs if not will head along on Friday.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

I don't get my freezer! Took out 3 bagels at breakfast, pack of prawns, pack of ham and 3 mini pizzas and, once I'd put everything back I'd had to get out after my search, it seemed that the freezer was harder to shut than before I started. How?!
Must to an untidy packer!
So breakfast was bagels for those in. Lunch was a prawns for me. Tea tonight was mini pizzas and hm wedges for others and ham & rocket sarnies and wedges for me.
Needless to add that all were reduced items. Bagels 5 for 20p, prawns reduced to 25p, mini pizzas 9p each, rocket 15p for twin pack and ham was on B1G2F a while back (and actually worked out a decent bargain despite these sometimes dodgy offers)'
I've lots of potatoes that I fancy making use of and some onions that won't go on forever so I think I'll make a batch on Leek & Potato soup (only with onions).
That'll make a warming lunch tomorrow.
In evening I think I'll make a chicken casserole so I'd better get that in the SC in the morning. No idea when everyone will be in for tea so that seems the most convenient to make.
Loving those bargains you got Bramble.
What was the trick to save paper on coupon printing, Lynsey?
I think thats what you were talking about.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Have decided that i need to empty at least half a drawer to a drawer before i do any serious whoopsies shopping, hope it's around my payday end of the month, but i doubt i will use that much but will make the effort, gonna have porridge for brekkie, soup for lunch, dunno about dinner tomorrow, had a sandwich for dinner the above during the day, had a snack of stewed fruit and yogurt.
Need to think about weekend dinners, need to batch cook, but there is just no space, to many things to use up! but then when its used x3 the amount goes back in, so only going to cook enough for the first half of next week, the 2nd half will be using premade meals up.
On a good note, on monday i went shopping saw they had veg tapas pots whoopsied and knew there would be more money off due to a multi buy, so picked up 3, then i put them backremembering there was no freezer space to buy them, came aaway with nothing!

I think if i took the time to organize my freezer i would have about 1 drawer clear (well maybe untill last night) may do that tomorrow as i am off.
Lunch is toast again, near the end of the loaf, will do soup for next week. Dinner is Ribs, jacket potato and sweetcorn for OH - just the jacket potato for me (Weigh in day tomorrow!)
NSD is on the cards for today and tomorrow potentially.
Will do a meal plan for the week ahead later, all my new food has made the old one look too chicken based.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

It's one of lifes mystery's!! A bit like how cables always seem to get knotted, even though you don't knot them!!
Most of my freezer drawers can be opened now without wiggling, a little space at the top - normally have pizzas on the top upside down to aid closing - the drawers seem to close more easily due to the flat cardboard base. I don't want to cheat by moving stuff about just to get an empty drawer, but nothing for me in Lidl this weekend to freeze and if I don't pick up anything in Sainsbury's, I'll be almost be there towards an empty drawer. I've got quite a few naan breads to use up, so next week might use some for pizza bases (only 1 or 2 pizzas left), and make hm pizzas.
cheerfulness4 - I've sent you a link.

Hi all
Today IS going to be a NSD. I could do with some tomatoes but I'm not going to risk going to the shop.
Tonight it's salmon. I think I'm going to try it with a smoked paprika, chipotle, chilli and lime pasta that I bought from M&S. It's actually supposed to go with tomatoes but thought it'd be nice with salmon instead. Not sure how I'm going to serve ds' salmon if that paste is too spicy for him. Maybe I'll do it with a cheese sauce.
Dinner for me will be a cupasoup and a piece of fruit. Really need to sort ds' room today! Toys are everywhere.
I bought some ready sliced mushrooms the other day. What a waste of time really as you still need to wipe them clean, and because they've been sliced there's more area to wipe!... just a little rant lol. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
morning all, breakfast was jam sandwichs and oranges for the kids, i had poached egg on toast while ds3 had a yogurt and rasins, lunch will be cheese sandwichs and cupasoup, and dinner is going to be mince and taties
my freezer is fit to burst and i did a tesco order for the 30th they sent me a £10 off code, so i stocked up on butter and tins, and then i ordered 4 pizza and garlic bread for quicky teas aswell as some frozen veg as i'm running low, my plan is for this to be my only big feb shop but i need to make room for it firstDEC GC £463.67/£450

Well, only 1/2 portion of soup left now and have added frozen pork & lentil something plus some more carrots, peas & sweetcorn so that will do tonight. Have 2 or 3 portions hm ginger cake so will use a carton of reduced brandy sauce to make into puddings. Am going out for lunch tomorrow (2.99 voucher for Crown Carveries) and I always take a doggy bag for some of the roast potatoes to have as part of a bubble n squeak thing next day. may get a chop/steak out of freezer to have with it plus vegs - some more out of freezer - not a lot but something. Will start another meal plan for next week, am hoping to have a cheapo shop at Asda soon which I will try to just use on tins and/or booze !!!!!!!0

Weakened a little today, but not as much as it could have been!
Went out to the coast for a walk and a look and popped into Home Bargains to see if they had my favourite crisps in - Red Sky West Country Bacon & Cream Cheese crisps - love them. They did have some, so compromised and bought three 150g packets @ 59p per packet, so £1.77 spent. I thought to myself, how many pies and loaves of bread could I have got in Morries on a Saturday night for that much?? Got to have a few "luxuries" though!!
