Shhhhh don't tell my ds that! ;) How old is your ds?

And it's always too cold for ice cream, except for when you're by a pool in a very hot country and really don't want to dive in again... as you can tell I'm not a fan of the cold stuff.

I'm envious really, haven't had ice-cream in the fridge since pre-vegan days (can't count Swedish Glace as it is disgusting). I want Carte D'or vanilla.

Swedish Glace is gorgeous!!! I still eat some dairy but actually prefer Swedish Glace to normal ice cream! Wish more places stocked the chocolate though.

Breakfast - ciabatta toast & marmite
Lunch - ciabatta roll & veg sausage
Dinner - pasta with last of the broccoli and red pesto and had a bit of Quorn pieces to bulk it out

Apart from the cheap food day, I've been ebaying and using up samples in the bathroom, feel like I'm making a small dent in clearing out all round here..

oh and I don't plan to buy anything new this week and I don't want to fill up any stocks - think I am on my own here though!!!
  • Well done Kirri- its a satisfying feeling to start making a dent in things isnt it?
You arent on your own in not wanting to stock up - in theory I never want to .... but then the bargains call me... :rotfl:
I think I have some kind of hoarding issue though as I seem to panic at the sight of an empty fridge/cupboard ...!!

Toast with jam for breakfast and will eventually start the sausage casserole soon.
Quick coffee first though for my caffeine kick.
Good luck with your meal planning this week, basically day by day for myself this week.
Bags of mozzarella cheese are normally reduced in Sainsbury's on a regular basis, so naan bread pizzas if I get some cheap mozzarella.
Due another pasta meal also. Got a pack of sirloin steaks need using. Loads of fish needs using up - not short of options (pies and pasties also). I don't really think I need to spend £25 this week, but that's my budget - depends on what the Lidl half-price meat offer is at my local store. Need cheese in the next day or two and already have bread for the week in freezer - actually looks better balanced than I originally thought!

Finally feel back to normal today!!

Yoghurt for breakfast, only two left after this one, hopefully there are some good offers on soon and I can stock up for the month again.

Lunch is left overs from yesterday for OH and I - i don't really want them, but don't want to throw the food away so it will be eaten, I will need to just do a work out later to make up for the extra calories!

Dinner is slow cooked lamb shanks with crushed herby potatoes, broccoli and carrots.

Going to try really hard to live off our stores until payday, then do a big shop.

    Morning all.

Just had toast and jam for brekkie. Have the school run to do in 10 mins which I'm not looking forward to. I wouldn't mind so much if the school wasn't a 30 min walk away.

Dinner will be cuppasoup. Tea is the gammon joint. I'm hoping to do lamb shoulder tagine tomorrow.

That's a cute age. Ds is 5 in four months and is only in size 7.5. He's a right shorty, takes after me the poor sod. He's still in size 2-3 jeans but part of the reason is cos he's got a low skinny waist. He's about 101 cm although he has just grown an inch lol.

Better get my !!!! moving. Catch you all later. x
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
