Lol Lynsey. I'd have thrown mine out for the birds but I might have put someone's window through! What's this groupon glitch?

bramble - I hope the wine and M&M's wasn't your dinner lol

Maybe the wine and M&M's were just the sweet?? :D

    I'll pm you Groupon info.

Apple pie ready in 10 mins, very deep dish - might actually have with custard for lunch and perhaps with ice cream tonight...........or perhaps with a glass of wine!! LOL

I'm still toying with the jacket potatoes in foil, that may be next?? Probably good for pasta bakes also.

    Lynsey

I have done jacket potatoes in my slow cooker. I just pricked them, rubbed oil on them and a little salt and cooked on high for 6 hours. They were lovely and soft in the middle but the skin doesn't go crispy and they also taste different then done in the microwave or oven. If you wanted a crispy skin you could always pop in the oven for a while.

    Yesterday:

    Breakfast - ciabatta toast
Lunch - 2 choc biscuits I took with me as I was out most of the day
Dinner - hm quiche from freezer with a ciabatta roll & 2 clementines after

    Today:

Breakfast - ciabatta toast (this is all from the 1 small pack of flour!)
Lunch - pancakes with lemon and sugar, before the lemon went off. Got 1 lemon left for more pancakes later in the week and plenty of batter leftover for tonight. Might try drop scones too this week.
Dinner - toad in the hole to use some more batter and already have veggie sausages in the freezer.

Also finished up 1 bottle of the squash today, feels like an accomplishment as it has been really hard not to buy Coke!!

Tempted to go to Morrisons later to pick up the tv guide and veg for the pets though I will look at the offers on my fave products as usual..

Well done Kirri- its a satisfying feeling to start making a dent in things isnt it?
You arent on your own in not wanting to stock up - in theory I never want to .... but then the bargains call me... :rotfl:
I think I have some kind of hoarding issue though as I seem to panic at the sight of an empty fridge/cupboard ...!!

Yes, very :D Though the more I use up the more I can't quite believe just how much I had bought in the first place, it's quite shocking!! I am seriously wondering just how many months it will be till I've used everything up!! I would love to get to the empty fridge/cupboard stage!

Just added a dollop of honey to my casserole and when it's done I'll be sprinkling with flaked almonds.. yummmm. I'm supposed to add tomatoes but I don't like tomatoes in casseroles, unless it's a sausage one.

Lynsey's got me wanting to make a nice apple and/or summer fruit crumble when I get back from picking ds up since I won't have a tea to cook. Need to buy custard!
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
  • Lynsey - could you pm me the groupon glictch?

I went shopping yesterday and bought some bits in Sainsbobs, and then went to Farmfoods and got some bacon and kitchen roll. Still trying to use up stuff, but not making too much of a dent! This was made worse by my approved foods delivery this morning. BTW if you go on AF don't order the you are what you eat fruit and nut snack bags as they are RANK!! I bought loads and now don't know what to do with them! I did get the McVities breakfast muffins and they are lovely! I also got 15 boxes of knorr beef cubes which should last ages. I prefer the Knorr cubes to oxos.

Tea tonight is chicken (from freezer) with stir fry, but at the moment I am feeling really sorry for myslef with a cough and virus thingie and am really tempted to get a two for Tuesday Dominos!

Made spelt flour bread in the bm last night and don't really rate it - the kids won't touch it! It'll do me for toast but I find it has a bit of a weird texture and taste.

i got the job I applied for at QVC so will soon be working two evenings a week, which will supplement my self employed work. Kids will be on their own (well they are 20 and 14) so am thinking that a slow cooker would be a good idea as I will start at 5pm so I could leave them a hot meal ready.

Do we have a male in our midst? thought it was just females.

Lipstick, i did eat, decided to go whoopsie shopping and also to get the ken homs meals early, well i ended up with the ken hom meals, no whoopsies as both t's had finished their whoopsies, think they do it at 8pm? so will try that time tonight, so dissapointedly, i walked over to m&s to see what they had, only got 2 sandwiches for 50p each, so had those one was my fave, ham, cheese and pickle, the other was a chicken wrap, which bizarely tasted like fish lol, so didnt have much of that!

Today, i didnt have the porridge for brekkie, had a chinese pear instead with a cup of mint tea, did zumba in my lunch hour and have had a sausage pasta lol finally! need to portion some up as there is loads left, dunno if i should have a ken hom tonight so there is less for the freezer or more sausage pasta, lol so there is less for the freezer, plus i'm going kick boxing so will be very hungry after.
