Similar to when I take DS1 and 2 - they're 16 and 13 and the amount of biscuits / cereal bars / crisps / cheese / expemsive fruit that 'falls' into my trolley is astounding...:rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
Spent £8.05 (that's with coupons deducted) on food items today and getting pretty scared!! Biggest spend in ages, may have to keep out of Sainsbury's tonight. lol
Got bread, ham, cheese, eggs, pickled onions and quite a bit of veg. Also some freebies like Modern Milk and Hovis.

i really do promise that this time i am not going to buy anything non perishable until next year.

I have stacks of food, and want to use it all up.
can i join you in that? i am awful at this. i pop out to get milk and end up with half the shop, because "it was on the reduced to clear" or on special. i have been trying to run the freezer down since march, :o so i can defrost it. still just as filled now.
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

  • Today we're having HM lasagne using some reduced mince from Morrisons I got a few weeks back. Will make the white sauce with a packet of chicken and mushroom pasta bake sauce from Bigbrands4less that I got a few months back. Don't like it on its own but they love it in lasagne.

I'm not a lasagne type girl so I'll have some l/o beef stew that I froze a couple of weeks back. I'll add some more veg and that should fill me up. :)

MrT has only gone and sent me about 6 more coupons for money off a £40 spend. One £6 off and five £4 off. The temptation. Will have to give this some thought.
Last time I handed the coupon in first and then handed all my other money off coupons over and they still let me have it, so no real need to spend £40.
Could do some 'shopping sharing' with my mum and dad.
They're not hard up and are always sweetly proud of me when they see me getting a good deal.

    I'll have a ponder.

Glad to see you're all doing so well. I've even got some moveability in my freezer now. Just a little. :p
