    I've been Money Tipped!
£6.70 spent, but got 3 packs of blue cheese from Lidl along with my belated carrots, a pack of back bacon and some jam.
Sainsbury's have the large cartons of double cream on offer for £1.26 and I bought some plus 2 bottles of stir fry oil which was on sale for only 50p per bottle.
Pretty much set for the week and tomorrow it's chicken breasts (out of freezer) in blue cheese sauce with roast veg and on Monday or Tuesday I'll do pasta in a cream sauce.
Loving porridge for breakfast at the minute and that's for tomorrow. Hoping for a no-spend-day tomorrow, unless something exciting is on offer late on at Sainsbury's if I pass. Deperately craving for some crisps, but trying to hold back until the weekend - Lidl half-price offer.

  • i really do promise that this time i am not going to buy anything non perishable until next year.

I have stacks of food, and want to use it all up.

  • Spent £25.43 in Farmfoods/Morrisons yesterday evening on essentials like loo rolls (my lot must eat the things!) and milk, etc.

Have the dilemma that I was given a till spit of £6 off a £40 spend in MrT not so long ago and it finishes tomorrow. To spend or not to spend?

I've a £4 MrT voucher to spend, too and some coupons off ice-cream from Buzzagent that I intend to buy to put away. I could get an extra £6 off my shopping with those making a grand total of £12 off a £40 spend.
Also got some extra points coupons to use before I forget, too.

Think it would be worth it so need to plan the buying carefully.

Tomorrow is Roast Pork from freezer that was reduced and shall make some lovely onion sauce, roasties, brussels, nutmegy swede, carrots and roasted sweet pots & parsnips with gravy and stuffing. Yum! Can't wait.

Xmas pud and custard for afters. (have lots from AP food order a while back)

Dannie - I've never put breadcrumbs in omelette. Does it taste good? I have lots of ends of HM bread left that I crumb and freeze for meatballs, burgers, bread sauce etc so they would come in handy for that. :)

We went out for dinner again last night!!! So no cooking for me, got my stew in the slow cooker and will just pick at stuff for brunch.

Lifted a loaf out the freezer for lunches in the week and we've got plenty in so won't need to shop again (with the exception of lea and perrins and oxo cubes)

Waste of time (and money) making that bread. DH and DS won't touch the stuff. They say it smells funny and why can't they have the normal stuff? You try and introduce some refined dining into their lives and a they want is the plastic stuff! So they had toast with bread out the freezer while I had lovely fresh bread toast.

Tomorrow I will have toast again and then crumb and freeze the rest.

Cooking day today unfortunately. Got some meat outta the freezer for lunch and gonna do a spicy aubergine curry for sides and dessert will be fruit with cream. Dinner is leftover cheese pie that I made yesterday following the recipe on the november grocery challenge guide.
You'll have to speak up; I'm wearing a towel
  • Doing the rack of ribs today, with wedges and sweetcorn fitters from the oven and a home made chilli sauce for dip.

having some dim sums that I will pop in the steamer from freezer, also since the steamer is on, will steam some rice, to add to lunces during the week. Rice from cupboard, im not doing to badly at this, only have a rack of lamb, 8 bacon rashers, 500g of pork mince and a pack of mini. Chicken fillets and some smoked salmon trmmings meat wise until my freezer is clear and I have frozen lunches enough for the week, so my freezer is getting there

  • Took out three unidentified soups from the freezer and have bunged them all together to defrost in the fridge. Soup surprise for lunch next week. I am starting to be able to make sense of what is left in the freezer now with porridge for breakfast and soup for lunch I definitely have enough frozen stuff for dinners until December. I also have a freezer full of stuff at my other house so I am starting to think that 'I can probably manage until Christmas with just buying milk and fresh fruit. I have avoided my beloved Waitrose like the plague. I just don't get the urge for yellow stickered delights in Tesco Local.

Trying some chipotle meatballs for lunch out the freezer. Just about to sit down and meal plan and start to think about a shopping list for the next big shop. I'm away for christmas, so won't need to get as much food in, i think atleast 10 days will be spent eating dinner round other family member's houses, so it should be a cheaper shop this month. Which is good. I'm worrying about money and think i might give a birthday meal out a miss and just do a dine in for £10 offer for OH and I.
