Hi, I am still working upon using up the cupboard and freezer contents but it all still seems plentiful. Lucky I know and a bit like money in the bank.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Been using coupons today, so had to buy a few bits and bobs as the Dallaglios were free in Morries with coupons.
Ended up spending £5.27 and got quite a bit.
12 jars of Dallaglio (all free)
2 jars of Kenco Rapport (half-price and used 50p off coupons)
    4 pork pies 19p
1 smoked pouting?? 9p (use for fishcakes)
1 stir fry 9p (use tomorrow)
    1 cheddar cheese £1.74 (half-price offer)

None of it needed except the cheese, but "money in the bank" and recommend the free Dallaglios if you get the chance, they are quite nice.

    Doh!

I was doing really well but then along came the £50 worth of shopping for £21 ish thread and I have ordered loads of store cupboard stuff.

Specifically went for things that I am unlikely to see reduced though which is good. Should have enough food to last at least the next month without going to the shops now though. Not bad for £21 :D

I am going to look through my bank statement and update my signature with my spending since I started the challenge.

Just added up my supermarket spend since the end of August and I have spent £124.57!

Doesnt seem to bad, especially since my cupboards are still full.

Will have to add on the Tesco shop when it comes though pushing me to around £150 for 2.5 months.

  • We started the week with a lidls shop, which is good, but still working the way through all of the cupboards, and all of the food is starting to have the shine off if that makes sense. But I am looking forward to a christmas food shop with the savings.

I do tend to cook a fair amount, and my husband is inspired to make mince pies - yipeee.

Yesterday I used up some old vegetables from the fridge and combined them with freezer veg plus herbs/spices. Although it made some freezer space and nearly a litre of soup, I suspect some of it might end up back in the freezer.

    Morning.

Spent £5.07 yesterday on potatoes, red onions and a couple of packs of biscuits from Lidl. Also bought some Sacla Uno and pesto sauces from ASDA using coupons and got 15 free Dallaglios from Morries (27 freebies in total in 2 days - free food).
Away most of day and will be just snacking, toast for breakfast and possibly pasta later. lol

Sadly, my cupboards/freezers and now at their highest level and mainly due to vastly reduced stuff and coupon freebies/near freebies.
Finding tins of beans/tomatoes/oil in places I forgot!!
Also got a massive supply of toiletries, saop powder/liquid, bleach etc to last until around this time next year!!
I blame the coupon thread, very addictive, but loads and loads of offers, week after week.

Looking at at least 2 no-spend-days asap, hopefully starting today as nothing needed - get carrots and swede later in the week and hopefully oven issue sorted by then and back to reducing food mountain. lol. Got 10 free litres of Cravendale coupons to use, so should get us through the month with free milk (hopefully more next Friday).

    Morning all!

we didn't have dinner last night, I had a couple of slices of the tea cake i made earlier in the week.

Boiling the gammon joint today and will make the gammon and leek pie later. and will meal plan with what we've got in the fridge. I'm debating whether to go to waitrose or drive to sainsburys. Will write my list and compare prices i think.
