Off now to think up chicken thigh ideas, so far i have, thighs in a slow cooker along witha campbells chicken soup, onions and some herbs, chicken wrapped in bacon, had it at a rodizio and it was yum! after that i am a bit stuck.
I love Chicken thighs - there is loads you can do with them - I like to take the bone out (if they're not boneless) and then stuff them with home made sage and onion stuffing and roast them. I also use them to make curry as the meat is loads tastier than breast meat.
Hm Sage and onion stuffing:
2 slices bread, or 2 rolls
1 onion
1tsp dried sage
pack of sausages
Just chop the onion and fry in a little butter or oil until soft. Blitz the bread to crumbs and mix with the onion and sage; take the skins off the sausage and then mix the sausage meat with the sage and onion mixture. You are best using your hands and really mushing it all together. Make into little balls, spread into a tray or use to stuff poultry or pork. If cooking as balls they do in about 15 minutes in the oven, in a tray it takes about 45 minutes.
I had bacon and the last slice of bread for breakfast; Have spaghetti and meatballs for tea with garlic bread and haven't decided what to have for lunch yet.Jane

Hello everybody,
One positive thing from yesterday was that I cleared five bags of veg from the freezer. It created a "makeshift" recipe mixed into a type of savoury bread recipe and was tasty moreso than eating the veg as it was. Today, maybe will use up 300gr of baked/chipped potatoes.0 -
cheers rs, gonna do just that, except with paxo from the cupboard! lol, so i'm gonna do, 4 chicken thighs in bacon, 6 thighs in slow cooker, as its only 1.5 ltr baby one, gonna do bbq chciken and stuffed chicken woo!

Hope you had a good time Lynsey!
Well, it was a break...........a wet one at times..........but a break!!
Spent just 92p tonight at Sainsbury's, got a loaf, cucumber, bag of salad and some mushrooms. Walked away from lots and lots of potential bargains (mostly ready meals).

Hi
New on here does anyone have any ideas for packets of cous cous? I seem to have gone a bit mad on approved foods website & have around 24 packets of spicy veg and mushroom cous cous:eek:0 -
I would use them to make a salad for lunch or a morocan inspired dish with lamb meat balls or something similar. I'm sure you can use them as stuffing for something or other!Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500
