Hi, not sure if this right place to do this
but in my tesco today i spotted surf essential oil, lavendar wash powder 2.85kg priced at 2 for £3.00 ( original price £4.99 EACH) so I grabbed 2 just to see, went through till at 4.99 each so went to customer services and they went to check the shelf and took the label back with them, and said they can't have that happening. I got 13.96 back. She said that it must be a computer printout problem with the labels, as the barcode and everything matched with the powder so it could be in other shops?????

Accidental DTD today. Returned a faulty kettle to Tesco & went off to look for another one. Obviously looked at what ones were on offer, just in case.
Russell Hobbs
Seattle Colour Changing Kettle (black kettle, the window bit is blue when water is cold & changes to red when hot)
Model no 14339
£40 reduced to £20 (exp approx 5/8 - can’t remember exactly, but it was well in date)
http://www.thereallyusefulstore.co.uk/P~144032~Russell+Hobbs+Black+Seattle+Kettle+14339
(cheaper than most places, but not as good as free)
Tescos site doesn’t have an image. It shows it at £40 but with an offer of a free toaster, also exp 5/8.
Went through at £40 (I had scanned this just in case so knew that it would). Trotted off to Customer Services. After faffing around with the calculator for a while she refunded me £20. I casually asked why only £20 … got the response that I’d been over charged by £20 blah, blah, blah. I pointed to the board behind her and asked why I wasn’t getting double the difference. She gave a good theatrical performance turning round to look at it, huffed & puffed, got the calculator out again (!) and I got the full £40 back.
Was available in another store I went to as well, labels not removed either. I just don't need another kettle though.0 -
New Tesco Metro opened in my home town- scanner in store. Really hoping to find mis price for DD- im a DD virgin!! lol
Only problem is not sure how I find mis price items- Is the best thing to note items posted on here and try in the new store?
Any ideas to a DD newbie would be gratefully accepted!! Thanks0 -
A friend reports a glitch on school uniform- had a bit of a scroll back but can't find it mentioned for all the discussion- takes me back a couple of years...
Anyway she says that the school uniform 3 for 2 discount did not work for her this evening on boys trousers and shirts ( sorry no other details). She got dtd- think she got 3 trousers and shirts for £8- but as she texting me I only have sketchy details.0 -

Don't insult other peoples posting because of your ignorance!!!!
Edit: I have apologised futher down the thread as I had read the post wrong!! I don't want to start a war or anything, so apologising here aswell!!!!!!!!
I was on about my question being dumb. Was obvious to me at the time , maybe not so for others. Not to worry.I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0 -
Is it worth complaining though...You'll just heighten your profile and find it more difficult next time maybe, by drawing attention to yourself...
I would just wait until the next one(it might be much bigger) and go there knowing you are correct.....
Ive learnt this from experience!!!!!
Good Luck.
This is the first DTD I would have done and I can't really see me actively scouting to 'do' Tesco's out of a few quid. I guess I feel it's more the principle of the thing. That the first time I've actually been owed something, but they've given me some BS to try and get out of it. I use coupons, but rarely at Tesco's too, so I don't really see it doing me much harm.
Besides, last week I had to take some mouldy filo pastry back that was still in date, and a peg bag that was falling apart (that makes me sound so old lol). Not once did I ask for anything in return for my messing about, so I guess that's why I feel I've missed out on what I'm rightfully owed now. I've going in tomorrow to take back some well bruised peaches I bought. They are awful, so I'll have a word with them then. I'm not happy with Tesco's right now! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Bought a pair of jeans for my daughter on sale down from £6 to £3. Was charged £4.75 so went to Customer Services and was only given £1.75 refund, asked about DTD and was told this doesn't apply as the mistake was human error! I was going to ask 'As opposed to what? Error of the little mice who come in during the night to mark down all the sale items?' but I didn't have the energy that day.0

You have them all listed as the same address but with different names - use the hamster, the cat, the dog etc., etc. The benefit of multiple cards is you can join the clubs and get lots of extra sets of each set of bonus point vouchers for each card, plus you get extra points anyway in your CC posting too.
There seems to have been some sort of clampdown recently on redeeming the points, esp for holidays apparently, but not sure if it's only a rumour, so it might be best to choose names with the same initials and surname as yourself and your partner, as they come with your initial and surname on. So, Janet, John, Jim, Jane, Jo, Jack etc.
But how is this possible as there can only be one clubcard registered per address???Started DMP Oct 2011 - £7082Feb 2012 - £6562July 2012 - £6112Oct 2012 - £57810
