What I found worked really well is to get the CSAs on-side - I was at the CS desk once when someone was being really rude and aggressive towards the CSA. Obviously when you're working you have to bite your tongue to an extent but on the other side of the desk there's no problems, so I went up the the guy and told him to stop being a pillock and wasting everyone's time with his stupidity. In the end me and the store security ended up bundling this guy out onto the street but ever since then more often than note the CSAs still give me R&R instead of DTD and keep end-of-lines and damaged stock for me. All it takes is to be friendly and chat to them as for the most part these are guys getting grief eight hours a day so a cheerful face never goes amiss!

Maybe it's not for everyone and you do end up feeling a bit of a charity case but hey, it's money going into my savings account rather than Tescos pockets so what do I care :D.

I think u might change your opinion when youve been in the game a bit longer, ask some of the young ladies(who wouldnt hurt a fly) on here how abusive cs can be for even daring to suggest a price is incorrect.....and as for helping a security guy.....well.....each to his own.....but i certainly wouldnt recommend that at all.....not with todays trend in knifings......

I bought 2 boxes of 40 Tesco label Redbush teabags today, advertised at £1.45 each, or 2 boxes for £2. The multibuy didn't kick in so £1.80 dtd.
    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

That just happened to me on a Tescos home shop. I have to say that when you ring with any mistakes they have made, they are all too willing to refund you, it's excellent customer service.

But the reason I wanted to quote you Olive is that I LOVE your siggy. I called my OH in to read it and he couldn't stop laughing as he cannot understand how I used to love my 'Bombay Bad Boy' Pot noodle..:rotfl:

I don't often wander down the fresh meat aisle since the demise of R&R, but last night, out of curiosity, I took a stroll and found Fresh Beef Joints, supposedly on offer until 10 August (reduced from £6.99 per kg to £4.66 per kg), but none of the packs on display showed the reduced price.
I bagged two, one British and one Irish, and claimed the DTD.
The CS girl, bless her, didn't know where to start in calculating my refund, so I told her that, as the offer was one-third off, she could refund two-thirds of the pack price. Simple.
Refund of £8.38 on £12.57 spent.

At my local tescos SEL was £39.99 but they scanned at £26.99.

Yes.. Give or take a few pennies plus 6 x 250pts from so beautiful booklet... As I paid by cash I didn't get a refund receipt so couldn't remember the specific amount refunded.. sure it was slightly more than £58.99 possibly due to cs miscalculation.. But definitely free...

Apologies for error as should have read Babyliss 230 not 320..

Still half price on Tesco Direct..
