Hi All, sorry if this is OT but thought you regs would be the best people to ask.

I bought some Bebivita fruit pots for babies. They were on their normal shelf and well within date but there was a yellow reduced sticker with a price of 64p down from £1.29. I noticed after I'd been through the tills that they'd gone through at £1.16.

When I asked about DTD the CS woman said it doesn't apply to reduced items. Is this correct?

Went into Tesco today, with my receipts and awful peaches. Got a refund for the peaches, and when I explained about not getting DTD for the overcharge on the fruit pots, she refunded me the rest right away, no questions asked.

How do you know if they've marked your profile, so to speak? She took a few numbers from the product but that was about it, as far as I could see.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

but you have to register.......Its very condescending and sickly at times, but if you can fight your way through the crap, its very informative...

Aw dear - I don't find PTS like that at all - it's v friendly.

Forums only exist if people feel comfortable enough to post their comments and share their information - I'm grateful for all the info and glitches I've had from MSE and PTS.

large bottles comfort tempting nature (green)42 wash 2.75 or 2 for 2.50.

    picked up 4charged 11.00

    collected 12.00 DTD

    this is Burgess Hill store

looked today and it was the smaller ones, clearly labelled up 750 ml that were on offer, guess you were just lucky.

while taking washing stuff, the powder mentioned a while ago, lavender and something or other was crossed out on the label but worth a look in other stores as it was hand done so not all stores may be on the ball

She will have been taking barcodes, and possibly till numbers from the receipt, if the issue was an O/C based on the product itself being stickered, but the till op not noticing.

If you Dtd (or R&R back in the day) a lot, the CSA's will eventually remember you. They will remember you a lot quicker if you do things that make you stand out, such as turning up with 10 copies of a PS2 game stickered at £12 or being rude or aggressive. I point out that I've been overcharged, then quietly wait for them to do what they do and if they "forget" to refund me the full amount, I ask them if "that" applies, pointing to the blue board. The Dudes post a few pages back is as good a starting point for low profiles as you'll get, IMHO.

Don't use your clubcard when you do a Dtd. Ever. Pay cash where possible. And personally, I'd not mention the specific stores where you got DtD here in your posts. It's a public forum, and that same CSA that threw back the extra cash at you as if it was the money to feed her kids with, could just as easily be reading the full details of your victory and putting a name to a face - "marking your card", so to speak.
