Going through some of the forums this morning i noticed someone was asking for the sites of Tesco stores in Scotland that had self scanners, could i suggest that people from all over the country contribute to a list for price checking machines and where they are allocated in the different stores, with information as to wether they work or not. As there seems to be some good dtds as i proved with the PS2 simpsons game, ive a feeling Tescos are going lapsa daisy with there pricing like they did in the good old days of r&r. The only problem i have is if we get a list up and running it would need to go on the 1st page and i wouldnt know how to put it there. Here is an example of how it would look. Sorry about the 2 im giving but none of the price checkers are working
    LOCATION.......... PRICE CHECKER..........WHERE....................WORKING..
    Dudley .....................no.......................n/a............................n/a
    Willenhall(W-Ton).......yes/2..............clothing/aisle 11.................no

Also can i just had, nobody should be embarrassed about asking for dtd, as they certainly dont feel embarressed about taking more money than they should for an item, all you are doing is taking them up on a very good offer they have in there terms and conditions. Sorry its long winded but im sure if we all pull together we will find some very interesting dtds. Please feel free to move where it will get best results
  • Good idea, though a nice web form would be better!

This is probably the dumbest post of the day, but what is the benefit of having multiple cards? And how would you get all of the vouchers sent to one address?

Only asking as we were thinking of starting to build up points to put towards a holiday next year.

    Thanks

    Barrie

In the good old R&R days and the days of using multiple H&B/Quit and other moc's... then sometimes it was best to use a paper (unregistered) clubcard. Some stores wouldn't swipe the coupons unless you had a clubcard. Therefore paying in cash and using an unregistered card leaves no paper trail back to you.

Excellent, maybe someone could move this link to the first page, otherwise people will forget where to look for it

You have them all listed as the same address but with different names - use the hamster, the cat, the dog etc., etc. The benefit of multiple cards is you can join the clubs and get lots of extra sets of each set of bonus point vouchers for each card, plus you get extra points anyway in your CC posting too.

There seems to have been some sort of clampdown recently on redeeming the points, esp for holidays apparently, but not sure if it's only a rumour, so it might be best to choose names with the same initials and surname as yourself and your partner, as they come with your initial and surname on. So, Janet, John, Jim, Jane, Jo, Jack etc.

    You are right.

    And you are wrong.

    :D

Ask yourself this - if you work on a CS desk and you see the same Dude coming in time and time again for DTD do you think you might become concerned?

Do you think that you might mention it to your boss?

Do you think that he might then mention it to the in-store staff and security to watch and follow this Dude?

Of course you are right. Tesco should honour each and every DTD but if they feel that you are not shopping within the spirit of DTD you risk all sorts of problems.

See DTD as a long-term benefit, not a short-term Grabbit.

    Duder

Very wise words from the dude....

Think long term gain. I can speak from first hand experience at being rumbled as a serial RnR'er. I couldn't say no to anything and it cost me some good RnR's in the end....policy ended not too long after that so not the end of the world.

Excellent although it may be in need of updating as it says my local store has none but in fact has 3 (although they regularly don't work  )

    Many thanks
