Sorry, what is the Tesco policy these days? If you are over-charged and spot it, they will let you have the goods and refund twice the difference in price?
Are all supermarkets the same? ( I nearly always use Lidl/Aldi so haven't a clue)0 -

May I refer you to Page 1, Post 1? It is Double the Difference in Tesco. Don't let them con you that this no longer applies or it doesn't apply to that *particular* item you've just bought. Most supermarkets just give you back the difference, Asda's policy is a 2 pound giftcard as well as the difference, I believe."Life was easier when I didn't have a clue"0 -

I now get followed around the store by the manager while he pretends to be looking busy.
The other store arent quite so subtle, I get followed by either a security guard or one of the senior CS staff, and when I say followed, I mean they are about 2 paces behind me at all times, they will also pick up everything I pick up and check the prices of it!
Its nice to know I had that effect on them, I still get the same treatment now, over a year since I got my R&R PSP.
It just makes me laugh to be honest, as all the while they are following me they cant see my OH using the price checker and going to CS for the DtD
That is absolutley unacceptable behaviour from Tesco. If they did that to me id seriously consider making a complaint to the Manager of the store or even to the Head office. They're treating you like a shop lifter. Its their policy and if they dont like giving refunds they should get rid of their policy. Next time go up to one of them say outright to them "why are you following me". If they say no they're not, if you see them again just say "see you're still behind me".
I wouldnt tolerate behaviour like that0 -

Well, Tesco is the biggest player. Some of it's staff seem to act as though its the only place you can buy food and other stuff - but it's not. The Yarmouth branch treated me in a similar manner. I made complaints and instead of a fat store defective (sic) following me around, they learned how to use the cameras. I was then cautioned for evading the cameras and finally standing right under one of them watching it search for me, panning down only for it to see my middle finger gesturing towards it.
It's quite rare I shop in that store any more - but when I do and they get it wrong, by christ do I let them know about it.0 -

Keep up the great work :TOne hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.0 -
