i had a woman demanding double the difference from me today at work.

thing is, i work on the deli counter, at the wrong supermarket (Wal*Mart)
    helpful tips
    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)
  • I got a pack of 4 organic kiwi fruits today. stickered "Save 20% [STRIKE]£1.24[/STRIKE] 99p"
Went through till at £1.24 so small DTD of 48p
    Nothing to declare ;)

I saw Sirloin Steak (pk 2) in Tescos Worcester (st Peters) SEP was £11/kg reduced from £12.78/kg, also on SEP was promotion for £8.50/kg but ran out on 25/12/2007. I self scanned and was charged £11/kg. I was a bit nervous but but thought what the hell and went to customer services and spoke to a chubby dark haired mid 20s girl. She went back to the isle with the steaks in. I followed her back a few paces behind when she got there she tugged off the outdated SEP and threw it to the back of the shelf underneath. I was stood behind at this point and muttered yes thats the one. She marched back to CS desk asked me for the card I paid on and gave me a full refund for the 2 packs (£8.60) She slammed my card and receipt on the counter and said "happy now". Oh yes and those Steaks have got to be the best Steaks I have ever Eaten. Thankyou Tesco for my first Refund and Retain. I will be back for more
I just think the customer service girl couldn't be bothered to work out the DTD. There was a long trail of unsatisfied customers queued behind me bringing back what looked like unwanted xmas presents.
    Please don't critasize my spelling

Firstly apologies if this is in the wrong area as I am new to this site and I am still learning where everything is and goes...

I just wanted to share my bargain find with others....

I have just come back form my local Tesco (Clacton on Sea) and they have the limited £1.00 range back in stock, I picked up a pack of 8 rolls of sellotape and when i went to pay the cashier pointed out to me that they were coming up as only 1p per pack... instead of £1.00 a pack.... They had loads left but be warned the managers are meant to be aware of the problem but havent bothered correcting it yet.... Hope this helps someone

Be warned be very careful in this store, I have had numerous r n r's here and am not supposed to go there anymore evertime another lie from the management - they only remebered me because of the console fiasco :D
So they refuse to refund me anything at all. Also get followed on camera by security - i know for a fact from someone in the know ;)
coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there
    (meaning under the buggy lol):D

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Tesco healthy living tortilla wraps

    SEL 89p, charged £1.19.

  • Tesco Pizzeria Stonebaked Pizza (frozen) - I bought two meat ones and two ham & pineapple. The meat sign said 2 for £3.50, the ham & pineapple one said 2 for £3.00. THey both went through at 2 for £3.50. So, dtd refund of £1 on the two ham & pineapple ones.

Miserable CS woman looked as though the money was coming out of her own pocket. No apology for overcharging me. She said dtd was much better now than when they were giving stuff away for free (I hadn't said anything to her about r&r). I replied that it would be much better if I wasn't overcharged in the first place. She rudely replied that people were human and made mistakes... Er, yes but why are the mistakes in Tesco's favour most of the time??

These kind of people need to have complaints filed against them with management. They need reminding that CS stands for Customer SERVICE.

I did this once going through a McDonalds drive through requesting items on the menu from KFC.
Everyone laughed, esp my children ggrrrrrr! & it brought a smile to the counter staff.
    Quite embarrassing though.

I bought 2 packs of glue today and was sure the price tag was 25p ( I have just confirmed that by reading that someone on here paid 25p) but have been charged £1.00 for each. Unfortunately I didn't look at my receipt till I got home so will have to go back to Tesco's tomorrow. Do they still do DTD refund?
