Think you've been knobbled here, you've got to be assertive - these CS types are specifically trained to sniff the (presumed) 'weak' and fob them off.
I'm pretty certain chives and whatever was covered in the offer, there's no reason to exclude a particular flavour (or flavor if you're a yank).
If you can be bothered, find the self-scan terminal then insist on ringing a higher level of CS as advised in earlier posts on this thread.

I have been to local Tescos tonight and whilst there picked up a couple of rolls of Xmas wrapping paper. Displayed £1.74 on box, £1.30 on SEL. Needed to get some anyway so picked items and went to Self Scan machines. Lo and behold I was charged £1.74 each. Spoke to SA who was more bothered about booking her hols with supervisor, so got told to go to CS. Did mention though to me Wrapping paper was on 25% off last week but offer now finished.
CS went to confirm price with me on SEL, ripped label off, came back and gave refund of £1.66 without saying a word, so better than BOGOF.
Now if only I thought about it could have bought more :rotfl:
Might be some opportunities for other MS out there next time in store -check SEL first!0 -
I'm confused.
Went Tescoing tonight, and my local has the Pringles ( with 33% extra) at £1.99, bogof !!
I didn't bother scanning or buying, as I don't even like them, but they are always handy to have in the cupboard.

hmm, feel a bit stupid but there's a principle at stake here;mum bought 2 tubs reduced price dip @ £1.49 each down to £1.04 each BUT also marked '2 for £2.00'..she was charged £2.00 'instead of £2.08' but was that the price she should've paid?Ta if anyone can advise,it's niggling at me now.T's little mistakes always seem to benefit them unless you are an expert l think lolCarpe Jugulem0

no,T's said they had been £1.49 each but were reduced to £1.04,but the packaging also read that they were '2 for £2.00' so l'm wondering why she was told that they still worked out at £2.08(well,£2.00 cos they knocked 8p off!!!)if they were reduced-surely there must be a proper policy on this?Carpe Jugulem0

they've more than likely gone through at £1.49 each, or two for £2
your mother bought them for £1.04 each but got 2 for £2. obviously they haven't taken the original prices off and they've gone through at £2 for 2. Reduced items do not trigger multisaves so they must have gone through at £1.49 each and triggered it to take them down to £2.
if your mother had bought the dips at the reduced price of £1.04, they would probably of gone through at £2.08.
either way round, your mother has stilled saved money and got the dips cheaper than they should of been.
if, however, you bought them seperately and they went through at £1.49 (like i suspect they have done), you would be liable for 90p back per tub (2 x 45p) and would of got them 2 for £1.18 (if i've done my maths right, which i'm certain i have)helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
l'm guessing the dips were originally £1.49 each in-date(as it were)or'2 for £2.00' then they got reduced to £1.04 each but the SA knocked the 8p off so mum paid £2.00,its confused me as l thought the multi-save or something would somehow kick in as in effect she's paid the same price for reduced as she would fresh!!l guess l'm just being dumb or expecting consistency from T's LOL..Sorry if l havent been explaining too clearly!!Carpe Jugulem0

yes, but as i said, reduced items don't trigger multisaves and although they were reduced, they would of worked out dearer than the fresh. they have obviously gone through at full price. either way, you've still saved moneyhelpful tips
