Hmmm - it was non-vintage - my 12 bottles anyway - I have 1 left in the garage - assumed it may be no good now????

    Dude

I was reading in a magazine the other day about champers. It should be fine, although it may be a little flatter. If you don't want it I'll have it.:p

  • Surely there have been more up to date misprices, other than LAST Christmas. Noticed Bratz in Tesco Direct Clearance.....

Why not go find some new ones yourself then?

  • Up until the beginning of last week my closest Tesco was 45 miles away! Then on 3/12/07 a new store opened in my local town so I'm trying to take all these tips and SELs, R+R, DTD etc.

Already I have found that they have mispriced 650g tins of Tesco Shortbread (meant to be half price £7.99 to £3.98 but instead they have advertised them half price £3.98 to £1.99!!). I have been in and bought 3 tins already and must go back for a few more. I think this may only be a local misprice - if there is such a thing?

PRINGLES - 35% EXTRA FREE TUBES, BBQ, PLAIN, CHEESE & SALT/VINEGAR

End gondola priced at 99p, charging at the till £1.99 - yum, yum, sweet lady at CS handed me my £2 coin with a smile.

    *****HOWEVER ******

There's a sting in the tale.... only works on ONE tube purchase due to Tesco inadvertently protecting themselves with a SECOND current Pringles offer of two tubes for £2.50 which kicks in on any quantity over one tube, so anything above one tube will be priced in pairs at £2.50 giving you £1.04 DTD back per TWO tubes making each tube 73p each for every two you buy - barmy eh.

Best off to purchase single tubes in single, separate transactions.

I only found this out by going back for a caseful only to find it was giving me a strange discount at the till which didn't equate to the £1 overcharge, needless to say I voided the sale and gave 'em the pringles back.

    Happy hunting.

i have just checked my receipt after shopping at my local last night and i purchased a reduced item marked with a yellow sticker that should have been £3.99 down to 80p but was charged £2.59.does this mean i should get £1.79 twice back eg £3.58 refund and keep the item.
    please let me know.:D

you should but be prepared to argue. unless there are more of what you bought al labelled up, there is nothing to suggest you didn't stick the label on yourself. depends on CS.

To follow up on my earlier Pringles post, on the long walk back to the CS desk the CS woman told me these pricing errors usually occur on a Wednesday morning as it is Tuesday night when the night shift put in the weeks price/offers into the shelf displays leaving the technical till program stuff to the dayshift changeover at 7am

Seems to me, your best chance of a pricing error in these circumstances is to be in the store at changeover Wednesday am around 7 - 8 am looking ideally for new half price offers ;)

Thankfully I work nights and pass my local store each morning on my way home around 7.30am, so shall thoroughly exploit this knowledge and report any bargains on my return home :j

this might vary from store to store obviously, but it's worth consideration.

    happy hunting.
