Come on........ Talk about two bites at the cherry.

You are selling an item that you got for free back to tesco.

Ethics don't come into it, common sense should tell you that you are rubbing tesco's nose in it?

Surely requesting a second refund is Dodgy ?

Not at all.....go to the ethics thread and i'll try and explain why.

    barbie,

This means Refund and retain and is nicknamed R&R - it refers to Tesco policy of refunding you for an item if they ever overcharge you and allowing you to retain the item as well - you get it free in other words....

you need to post on here any questions and NOT on the misprice thread as otherwise it gets clogs up with questions and not misprices...

have fun finding your first one!

It was put together by members of this thread to provide an easier format of collating and discussing misprices.

It also has no arguing or offensive postings..................

I am in Scotland and I have never once found a product mentioned on here in my local store.. is it maybe that the pricing system.offers r diff up here?

or is it on a store 2 store basis rather than nationwide pricing?
  • I have just posted a misprice on the appropriate board -
There are some of the ride on toys (like a hobby horse - a stick with a reindeer head) that had a SEL of £3.48 but they scanned at £4.98. I got a very friendly and helpful R&R on two in one store. The second had no SEL anywhere and therefore no R&R was possible.

    - have other MSErs found that is actually quite hard to find any prices in some stores?

They seem so hot on R&Rs that many items are unpriced, especially fruit and veg and lots of hardlines. There is a description with the price torn off the SEL and the only way to check prices is by scanning.

I bought some reduced mini cheesecakes yesterday that had been £1.00 from £2.xx when I got them last week. There was no SEL and they scanned at 50p. No R&R, so why no prices?

  • hi Mark,

thanks for your reply which was constructive. As soon as I gathered that I posted in the wrong forum i moved my question here :)
On reading your explanation I have to admit that although I knew what R&R meant I was reading that as Rand-Ring and got confused by this new abbreviation :embarasse !!!!
