  • Hi There, Can anybody tell me if they have R&R'd the xbox 360 gears of war package from a Tesco store in Northern Ireland? If so which 1? Because i have tried a few and they have all been priced correctly  lol

I reckon that you've been given excuse after excuse and the simple fact is that the manager doesn't want to give you an r&r - regardless if it's a valid claim or not.

What was the item by the way?

Not trying to be funny but I know cs/ho look at this board so would rather not say.

TBH I couldn't believe he couldn't even give me a real reason and it has made me all the madder and more disappointed in them. As far as county courts go, does anyone know what the procedure is in Scotland? I will certainly go to TS if necessary but hope CS will honour their policy and leave it simple. Also, how do I have evidence, i.e. if the store say it was correctly priced that day? They did admit (CS girl and duty manager) that I was overcharged but who's to say they won't lie? I did take a pic on my camera right enough... And it wasn't an item on promotion.

I'd take it up with HO first - but also be aware that your profile will be raised so bear that in mind. As for proof?... Well a newspaper from the same day (which may have been discarded by a shopper who didn't want it) might somehow end up appearing in the shot
  • Good idea, but away from the shop now and don't think I'm welcome back in...
  • Sorry, what is a 'golden' R&R?

very off topic but the tesco in lea valley london have taken all the xmas lines and moved them to the season isle which they have blocked off at each end with 3 large trolleys.
yesterday we wanted a yule log a manager said the isle is being sorted and is not open yet later we saw staff filling their trolleys with items and yet we were still told the isle is closed while at the till the lady getting the xmas lines said "i'm so sorry you see all the items are reduced and the store manager has decided its staff only"
Is it just us or is that disgusting ?
so what next "you can't have BoGoF because its for staff only"
    Good for them.

It's when you get an r&r and the customer service assistant doesn't mark your receipt. If you return the item (probably best to another store) you can get a refund on it.

In Scotland this would be dealt with by a "SMALL CLAIMS COURT", basically a civil action, the loser paying the costs.

    Hope this helps;)
