Not at all dodgy.....its called the 28 day rule..totally legal and above board.

It should also NOT matter whether the receipt is marked or notCouponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

I reckon honest_geezer should phone HO on Monday, sounds like a clear cut case for a full refund and HO should back the customer. If it were me I would ring up and say that the store admitted you were overcharged but would only offer the difference, you are checking that this is correct as you thought their policy was more generous?
HO will ask if there was a date on the SEL, you can confirm 'no' and the store gave no reason for not following policy. Keep the photo for later - don't mention it on the phone - you shouldn't need it unless you took it further (letter to Mr Leahy would be next). On the phone you want to come across as an overcharged customer; taking a photo of a SEL makes your situation look more planned IMHO.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I don't consider it dodgy either.........how many items have been returned to Tesco without a receipt in the last 2 weeks and have successfully been exchanged for something else? What's the difference, ethically? Exchanged items (like books and DVDs etc) could have been bought elsewhere or R&R'd, there is no telling.
So bringing an item with an unmarked receipt at least shows it did come from Tesco originally. The bribe of R&R is irrelevant really.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well it is in most stores. There are 2 barcodes for the same product. The box version with the price £279.81 has a different barcode to the SEL of the same product which has 299.97 on it!
If the box says one thing it will scan at that price! Sorry dudes!
This should be on the discussion thread really. Don't see your point I'm afraid; people have R&R'd this and the barcode is irrelevant to the customer.
And your point in bold is certainly not true of most Tesco products.....PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Most people dont look at that as people KEPT posting the same thing so thought i'd tell everyone.
People have R&R'd where there is a DIFFERENT sel with 279.81 on.. NOT the box. Yet no one has mentioned the box thing and people are getting confused.
As for my comment you put in bold, it is true of this product which is what I menat. Im just trying to help no need to sound mean!! pfft
EDIT: The barcode is irrellevant but the barcode for the box that says 279.81 scans at 279.81![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

The point about the box (cardboard as opposed to DVD case) has been mentioned already on the discussion thread some days ago, by Little John (?) if my memory serves correctly. And I'm sure these posts will soon be moved to the discussion thread where they belong.
Edit...no sooner said than done, the mods are getting quick at moving discussion off the misprices thread, thankyou guys/gals.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Come on........ Talk about two bites at the cherry.
You are selling an item that you got for free back to tesco.
Ethics don't come into it, common sense should tell you that you are rubbing tesco's nose in it?
Surely requesting a second refund is Dodgy ?0 -
