Its so good, with such an easy readable misprice list, Employees are running round their stores with "list in hand"...........
They used to use a list from here, but the majority of misprices are on EPH, now..........
Sorry we're on the wrong thread here..above posts should be on the discussion thread

This leaves you with Tesco refund (in cash I presume) in your pocket....
Thought I should clarify...anyone else got one of these flyers or seen something like this before?
So, if I bought the tv from Currys took my receipt into Tesco they would give me £500???
I am assuming that this will saysomewhere excludes electricals.0 -
sharkmark wrote:I received my normal crappy free Friday newspaper tonight and inside was a Tesco A3 flyer inside promoting cheap products and sale items etc....
Anyway...in TINY letters at the bottom of the flyer in the terms and conditions it states ... " Buy an equivalent product for less in any UK supermarket (excludes online) and we'll give you the difference next time you're in store . Receipts needed, see instore for details"
This is the most interesting development in this discussion forum for months.... either I have missed this policy or this is a new policy or a crazy new head office policy - please TE confirm if this is true?
If it is true I am going off to find one of the products cheaper - then I am going to Tesco for difference (it doesn't say I need to buy the item from Tesco just they'll pay me the difference!!!) and then I'm gonna take back original item....
Please someone with a legal mind check their Friday Free newspaper (our is called THE ADVERTISER) and see if you can clarify what they mean!?sharkmark wrote:Sorry got so excited didn't make myself clear - The policy doesn't say you have to buy anything from TESCO's - it simply states they'll refund you the difference if you can find something cheaper than on their flyer and can prove it with a receipt...simply put this means you find it cheaper somewhere else (must be possible) - buy it - take receipt to Tesco - get difference refunded - and then take original item purchased back to original store and get refund. I think you'll find it was the foxy one coz divadee ain't been on since this arvo according to the stats0 -
I'm trying to post scanned version of leaflet....anyone help me?
Anyway - essentially it says ...and there is an asterix at this point *buy an equivalent product for less in any UK supermarket - (how do you define a supermarket??!!?) and we'll give you the difference next time you are in store...
There is no asterix throughout the leaflet so I am presuming that it refers to all products in the leaflet and in the court of law they may well presume that it refers to ALL Tesco products...THIS IS MENTAL!!! It DOES not state that it only refers to items in the leaflet either - you could take them to court on this...it's nuts! I am really sorry Tesco Employee but this a balls-up of immense proportions...
I can e-mail you the scanned document if you want - please someone confirm I am not going mad - I am going to find SOMETHING cheaper in ASDA tomorrow and buy it and then challenge this policy...Tesco is my second home:j0 -

The last time I mentioned the reasons for this my thread was deleted. It's all very well saving money, but an R&R is not saving money, it's just purposely sharing information to try to take advantage of a company's good will.

If you look at the header at the top of the page, it says "Consumer Revenge", which is what this is. Besides, Tesco always takes advantage of the goodwill of its suppliers. When that goodwill isn't forthcoming, Tesco moves on to bully-boy tactics. Tesco will do everything and anything to get all it can from its suppliers for the cheapest price. You know as well as I do that Tesco's policy is cutting costs to increase profit, even when it's detrimental to both the customers and the employees - as long as it makes the board and shareholders money, that's all that matters.
I think Tesco is not in the best position to be judgemental, or comment on the morals of individuals.
It's not cheating, TE. It's playing the game. Tesco does like playing games. It doesn't like losing, though, and there's the crack - we (the customers) don't like losing, either - and there are more of us. Where would Tesco be without its customers? Nowhere. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.
