Thats 2 people I know that have gotten XBOX 360s as a result of me tipping them off. I'm determined to nab that one I know about tomorrow.

Only thing that puts me off is that the SEL is correct, amd its righ underneath the box.
Doesn't matter. That was what happened to me - it wasn't my fault I didn't see the SEL because I was reading the box, was it?
Besides, nobody mentioned the SEL anyway.
    Go and get it!

    :T

I would also like to remind our delightful customers using this forum that repeated abuse of the overcharge policy will lead to exclusion (banning) from your local stores and in some extreme cases has led to nationwide bans and even police involvement.

I would just like to say, "ha ha ha ha ha ha"
The best things in life are free.....or at least discounted!!!

Could have got more but that would have been greedy, beware the people that get to much in one go, they will ban you, better to have little and often!!!

Totally agree with you, its getting the smaller everyday things I need that will soon make the savings add up. It's also the smaller things that does not require a duty manager to come down and so making everyone aware of you.

I only get a R&R on something I want or need and don't get things for the sake of getting it.

When I get to the CSD and I am being served by someone that is determined not to R&R on it I will just let it go and either accept the difference or refund fully (depending on the price difference of course!) I would rather loose out on £10 of free meat then have everyone know me and loose out on an Xbox!

Even with this site u are bloody useless.
For example went shopping at Tesco was overcharged on steak, box set dvd, single dvd and a ps2 game, went back to same store the following week and overcharged on the same items again. Even when they are taken to the items mispriced they cannot correct the error. I still also cannot understand why stores don't communicate with each other, once 1 store has given a large refund you would think they would phone the next store and tell them to double the prices on certain items.
When any organisation reaches a certain size, unless it utilises very very efficient and effective communication techniques, it will always be slow to react to issues. I've seen it many times in many industries.

The fact is that to have to print out pages from this website (which are for non-commercial use incidently - yes did you get that Mr T - non-commercial use) is an admission that their own lines of communication are left wanting. It's obviously a lot cheaper for them to use a forum like this than it is to actually put some money and effort into sorting out problems that only they themselves have caused.

It's a bit ironic really that Mr T moved a large chunk of I.T. ops to India (including the bit that deals with pricing), presumably to reduce costs!

As a Price Integrity / Loss Prevention manager at Tesco Corporate, I would like to thank the members of this forum for their time in bringing us this useful information. I would also like to remind our delightful customers using this forum that repeated abuse of the overcharge policy will lead to exclusion (banning) from your local stores and in some extreme cases has led to nationwide bans and even police involvement.

Customer Service Managers in store are within their rights to refuse a Refund and Retain if they beleive that (as in all of your cases) the customer is deliberately seeking to find misprices around the store armed with prior knowledge. A fact I will make every effort to remind staff in our stores of, and this website will serve as an excellent training tool to spot future fraudsters.

    Kind Regards.
It would be great to see a confirmed Tesco Rep on these forums.
If you are as senior as seem to imply to us and you genuinely wish to communicate with the community then why not contact the Admin of this forum and have your self confirmed and ask if they can alter your Tag from Newbie to something like 'Official Tesco Rep'.

I'd hope the site would oblige and it would be really useful for all concerned, as well as saving a lot of misunderstanding.
  • Last year somebody posted about shopping on the day following a Tesco pay day - apparently it was a good day for things being wrong. In case anybody might want to research this further, pay dates for 2007 are:

    January 26, February 23, March 23 and 30, April 20
    May 18, June 15, July 13, August 10
    September 7, October 5, November 2 and 30, December 28
  • I am fairly new to this R&R business and have only done 3 small ones so far. I would still guess it's in their favour to R&R as i would have never considered doing my shopping in tesco's before and will be making a hasty return to Asda if the price promise stops/changes. I'm damn sure they've made a hell of a lot more profit out of me than i have them.
