excuse me Sir...our mistake...I'll take the £20 difference off then we can dial the card company.

my face freezes into a thank.you.very.much smile as she proceeds to dial the card company and authorise a sale of £279.

through gritted teeth I'm already running through the excuses for the refund in a later store.

    you can't win them all

moral of the story...never "just stick it on the card this once".

    *sigh*

Or you could feel the guilt of spending £280 so close to christmas and decide you shouldnt really have spent the money or be spending the money of another toy. there is always a way. Hey if you bought it and took it home the other half may have seen at and turned you right round to take it back. witha clip round the ear.

I must be one of the unusual people I dont belive that tesco purposfully go out to rip us off with over chargeing. most of the mistakes are due to the constant barrade of price changes that each store has to make, a store manager I know said they get about 1000 sel's a day that need changeing. they make a few mistakes and miss one or 2. I wouldnt like to be in that department I also belive each store has 5 people who are sole there to make sure prices are changed and correct.

The reall problem is that the marketing department come up with fantastic ideas like shelf barkers and posters or banners out side to scream about the latest offer they have, then get someone to design the posters a slight slip on them and we pounce. who say yes and OK to the Godfather xbox game of the week poster a few months ago when the game that was on offer was somthing else should be shot to make such a mistake really showed how bad they were. The simple option would have been to update the system to include the game as a triger the £20 off but I belive it was about the time that the IT dept was being shipped off to India and the redundant staff wern't really interested in helping.
The posters that were sent out to stores for the 2 for £16 that included the kronenberg dated corretly but kronenberg was not included, who Ok'ed that?

Spotting R+R's is easy I expect we are the only ones who know the stuff on the board by heart I have stoped asking about the "if things dont add up" bit and just let them either give me a refund or I mention a previous time where I was given a full refund and kept the item.

As a Price Integrity / Loss Prevention manager at Tesco Corporate, I would like to thank the members of this forum for their time in bringing us this useful information. I would also like to remind our delightful customers using this forum that repeated abuse of the overcharge policy will lead to exclusion (banning) from your local stores and in some extreme cases has led to nationwide bans and even police involvement.

Customer Service Managers in store are within their rights to refuse a Refund and Retain if they beleive that (as in all of your cases) the customer is deliberately seeking to find misprices around the store armed with prior knowledge. A fact I will make every effort to remind staff in our stores of, and this website will serve as an excellent training tool to spot future fraudsters.

    Kind Regards.

Theres another forum here, with a much easier layout, which will enable you to just printoff a complete page of misprices.

    Tell them I sent you..

You may have to use a private IP address as a lot f Tesco addresses are blocked.

I often wonder if it (deliberate RandRing) is so illegal.....why no one has ever been prosecuted.

Sorry for feeding the troll RD

Desk sergeant: add wasting police time to his charge sheet constable.

You are sentenced to manually price check every one of your 10,000 items using a hand held scanner.

    Get out of my sight!

    UNLUCKY!

Is this the little cube box thing, because I know of a Tesco with a bundled XBOX/PE6 sitting at 279.xx?

Only thing that puts me off is that the SEL is correct, amd its righ underneath the box.
  • Here's one for you, whilst on my travels to the land of T hunting for a 2 for £16 sign I came across a becks bier misprice

20 x 375ml becks vier cans (maybe 330ml) there was still a yellow sign up saying 10.99 and the offer expired on the 2nd of jan, SEL said 13.99 and thats what I got charged, so I got 4 crates.

Now here's the funny bit, they decided to take the sign away and play the "what sign" card and after much argueing and then revealing the photo that I took of the sign on my phone they decided to give me my money back.

Cheers T for £56 of beer

Could have got more but that would have been greedy, beware the people that get to much in one go, they will ban you, better to have little and often!!!
