TE i buy an xbox with an ood sel
at the same time i buy an ipod with an ood sel
however i am overcharged on the xbox but not on the ipod
can you tell me how is there any consistency in knowing what prices i should pay for my goods?

Clearly an issue and there seems to be more and more of this happening but i can only assume that with the X-Boxes and I-Pods CURRENTLY being charged at a lower price despite OOD SELs it is PROBABLY to prevent R+Rs. I have actually e-mailed trading Standards myself regarding OOD SELs to see where we stand on the issue as much has been written about it on here.

These SELs sould have now reverted to white as they are going to stay at the same pre-christmas promotional prices to clear through excess stock that stores may have. As you are all so very well aware when scouting for your R+Rs in-store some Tesco stores are not the best at changing lables but at least the correct prices are being charged on these lines

I've seen this many times - OOD SELs left on display because the price hasn't changed post 'offer period'. If the consumer is allowed to depend on this SEL for pricing information then any other OOD SEL that is left on display should fall into the same category - why else would it be there? In my opinion if you can find at least one OOD SEL in a store, and the product scans at that price, then all products with OOD SELs should scan at their 'OOD' price.

And if they don't in line with what TS expect we will offer it to you at the expired offer price.

Yes that's correct - I've seen the new white SELs in only one store, however in another 4 stores the yellow SELs are still on display - if the store hasn't changed them then they are happy for the customer to be relying on the information. Happy for customers to be relying on OOD SELs.
