rdwarr wrote:I must admit I used to think like this as well until I remembered the TV commercials featuring Prunella Scales actively seeking out misprices so she could get goods for nothing. Thus the whole concept of "deliberate R+Ring" was created by Tesco themselves and, by advertising it in such a way, they have invited participation from members of the public.
"Obscene profits" don't come into it. R+R makes an insignificant hole in the balance sheet and matters to shareholders far less than many people here imagine.
Well said mr rdwarr.
A constructive (for RandRing) "no digs/snide remarks post.
See that "cheapie"........Ive "thanked" his post as well.
What with TE being constructive as well.
Maybe we can all get a long together in the new year.

ben500 - in reply to your post#2150 - I have approached Consumer Direct as a first port of call and now have a direct tel. no. for my local TS officer who I can speak to about anything and what Tesco Employee says is correct (and Tesco know it!) that if you purchase something, then go to CS about a misprice/overcharge based on a OOD sel, then Tesco are perfectly within their rights to offer you the product for the lower price you have seen, not give a full refund as per their Price Promise. Obviously if you are a genuine customer you will go away happy with the lower price. What is causing the problem here is that most of 'us' are familiar with the refund and retain and the simple wording of the 'and if things don't add up......' policy. So if the refund isn't offered in what should be a clear cut overcharge then things get a bit nasty - so to speak. It WOULD be so much easier to understand if there was some sort of clarification between the conflicting issues - OOD sels and a simple overcharge because at the moment the two are at odds with each other. And TS don't have anything to do with Tescos refund policy AT ALL, just in case anyone was wondering if TS can be involved in this matter.DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

Please don't feed the troll.................Theft........Huh!!
This thread is for the discussion of misprices at Tesco, by people who use the RandR policy.
A thread has been created for people like yourself who disagree with the use or exploitation of the policy

troubled_buyer wrote:Hi,
Can anybody answer how the website prices stack up against the store prices?
Are they ahead of store prices (ie store prices to be altered to match website), are they behind store prices (ie store is correct and website will be changed) or are they just plain different.
I'm asking as I've seen an item I want and it is higher on the website so I want to know if I should keep checking the stores for possible misprices, the stores currently have SEL at a lower price and scan correct to that SEL.
PS The XBOX 360 premium is lower on the website, does this indicate another round of free XBOX's?
Anybody got any comments on this?
I just want some advice as to what is correct.0
