Did it have the small black Chanel card with a number on it? You can put this number into the Chanel website and it tells you what the item is and when and where it was bought. I have 2 Chanel items and they both check out as authenic on Chanel's website.0

I think I'd call his bluff....I agree with the earlier poster that it's very unlikely for him to take it into chanel and for them to go out of their way to document that it was a fake...how would you know whether their document was genuine anyway? He could just run up a letter on his PC with the chanel logo on top and submit it as evidence that they had seized the bag and confirmed it was fake.0

Or if he did take a bag in that it is yours & not one he had previously bought?
I would ask him to send it back & give him a full refund.0 -
ask him to send it back, say you'll check the security mark you put on the bag before refunding. if chanel confiscated it then you want proof - ask which store he took it to - There's 15 stores in paris. Tell him you want the store id and the name of the person he gave it to and for the reciept that they confiscated it
If he is calling your bluff he may back down if he knows you'll contact chanel direct - DONT call any number he gives you - get number from chanel direct http://www.chanel.com/fashion/storelocator/8-3-130-00 -

I have just done this...i actually feel better for it. of course i dont want the bag back and i dont want to have to part with my £700 as i only sold it because i needed the money to help my daughter with a deposit on a flat. but better that i suppose than have no money and no bag - not that i'm quite sure how i could sell it afterwards?0 -
