hi guys just a quick question regarding copy and pasting a film onto the grundig mines takes about 7 to 9 minutes to transfer to the film folder.
is this the correct amount of time or am i doing something wrong

a 2 hour dvd generally takes only 20 seconds or so onto mine, so I'd guess there's an issue with yours somewhere. Do you have USB2?

I can't think what it would be, I just drag and drop. What format are you using for files, I'm converting DVDs to avi.

hi sockospice managed to fix it i was using a small 4 way usb hub and it was slowing the usb side down must bin this little critter lol best wishes:j

Is anyone else still having the problem mentioned earlier in this thread where during playback of certain video files the unit jumps back to the beginning or forward to the next file about every 15 minutes?

Only seems to happen with certain files, but makes them vitually unwatchable. Anyone found a solution?

Also, during playback is the blue power light meant to keep coming on every now and then? Quite distracting!

I was kinda thinking of getting one to replace my 20gb ipod which I could ebay for £60, and £40 on top for the extra 10gb and video recording and movie facilites seemed good value.

That was until I read a review that said the music playback was shocking, is the music interface really that bad?
