  • I am currentrly using DVD FAB and need some advice on how to use it for this device.

    What option is best:

    DVD to Generic
    DVD to ipod
    DVD to PSP

Also what options do I use to put a DVD onto the media player as the media player seems to say unsupported media when I try to transfer a DVD

    Thanks

not psp or ipod as the file will be MP4 not MPEG4 so it looks like you have the wrong codec in there. remember its got to be an avi file like xvid or divx.

If I have a bunch of short AVI clips (same codec, dimensions) and want to edit them without any conversion (to save time), so look like one seamless video clip, what fee program do you recommend ?

try virualdub...look around for advice on using but it should be able to do what you want.

hi guys just 2 quick questions how long do you think the lifetime of the battery is and can we replace it
how long do you think the little hard drive lasts and can we also replace this

sorry if these seem stupid questions

    many thanks

battery should last for about six months and hard drive for about 5 then it will coast you about £200 to replace both so would be cheaper to buy a new one....LOL....only joking......battery for a few years monimum depends on how much you use it...the hard drive should last for many years.....until somebody opens up this little baby we will not know if they can both be replaced...maybe you could prize yours open and let us know...by the way dont blame me if you break it...its your risk...you did ask the stupid questions as you put it...LOL :p

  • Hi

Would really appreciate some advice - techno novice here! Am considering getting one of these to take travelling, for listening to music, watching movies etc. However, would also like to use it as hard drive to store photos... will be taking digital camera with us - would we be able to connect the camera directly to the PMP and transfer the photos across without a PC?

Also, does anyone think this would be a better buy for us?

Yes you most certainly can !!

Comes with a lead ... just connect red/yellow/white to TV or to a scart covnverter to TV, and other end into line out on Grundig....

Once you set the film or whatever up, hold onto the toggle switch to put up playback menu.... and change output from LCD to TV...perfect quality !!:T

    Have Fun.... Mines FANTASTIC

    Hi,

I have one of these Grundigs and i'm pretty sure you couldn't connect a hard disk directly because as soona syou connect it to a USB it goes in to mode where the only way to control it is form the computer. I.e.once connected you can't use the menu system. I would say with the lack of computer nad if your camer ahad the appropriate Memory card i.e. SD/MMC then the Yukai would be better.

Hi this is how i do it. take the supplied lead with Red/yellow/white RCA'a on one side and a headphones jack on the other and plug the headphones looking one into the LINE OUT on the side of the PMP. Then plug the colured ones into your TV (there's probably some on the front). Turn on PMP and go to "Video Play" on the main menu. Once in hold down the menu button until you see the "Video Set Play" menu, toggle up and you'll see on page 4/4 that theres an option:

    Display out < LCD >

Toggle the red arrow up and when you get to this option toggle right and it will change to

    Display Out < TV >

and the screen will wobble. put your Tv to the appropriate AV cahnnel (probably AV2 or 3) and you should see the PMP screen on your telly and push menu once to get rid of the "Video Set Play" menu. To return your PMP to normal Hold in MENu and toggle

    Display out < LCD >

    Back to:

    Display Out < TV >

    Let me know iof thishelps.
