well since reporting mine being in pieces when it arrived, I have yet to recieve an email response from my complaint (suprise suprise, even though they say this is their favoured point of contact ) and yet to receive the returns label they promised to get to me yesterday.....
Things are not looking hopeful. I still have a smashed unit sat in my office and tomorrow it'll be a week since I paid my money for it. Paultoon I feel sorry for you, we're in a very similar boat seemingly sailing down the same river...ROCK:staradmin0 -

Still have the 'USB connected' on the grundig screen and cant get past it with buttons or stick, but at least now I can transfer stuff as suggested . .phew
You wont get past that .i emailed Grundig and they said it stays on it ,when you have plugged it into the computer.0 -
Hi
My PC couldn't recognise the Grundig when I tried to connect it via USB and i posted the problem here. Thanks to imao's advice I found that there was something wrong with my front USB socket. Fortunatey, the rear one are fine so its working now.But I can only transfer some video files and it doesn't play rmvb files. Any advice on file conversion software(pref freeware) please.

I am off to India in 2 hours, taking my PMP with me.Be back in 3-4 months. Thanks to everyone who helped me with this player.Bye, Pat0 -
 well my returns label finally arrived today, they are picking mine up tomorrow. I do find it bloomin cheeky they expect me to pay to package it all up so it doesn't get damaged in transit "we are in no way responsible for your unit while in transit - please ensure you package sufficiently so as to avoid damage" - So hang on, after I paid for my unit and it turns up in pieces, I need to spend EVEN MORE of my money on bubble wrap and jiffy bags to ensure you don't blame me for the damage when it's returned??? Even though they only send it in a plastic bag...............
Why do they not send you a return labelled JIFFY BAG.........
This experience gets worse by the day. Still no email reply to my complaint. I would again warn that although this is a fantastic product for the price, and I'm still holding out hope of getting mine, PLEASE BE WARY OF THE APPAULING CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU WILL RECEIVE. it's going to be at least another 10 days before I get mine....
Paultoon - Any luck with your scenario?
thought you'd all like to see how it arrived... Click on the link please!!!ROCK:staradmin0 -
I posted earlier in this thread about PocketDivx which is a free program and enables you to specify what type of device/screen size you wish to play the film on. I find it works brilliantly and use it all the time for my Flashtrax player.0

Well, Grundig said my unit was delivered and signed for as far as they were concerned, if I had a problem with that I should contact the courier, Grundig were quite happy to wash their hands of it. I kicked up a stink, saying it had NOT been delivered, and that it was not my responsibility to chase up the courier. Eventually, after around a tenner's worth of phone calls, they agreed to send out another unit, but said if this one didn't turn up it would be my responsibility! I explained that wasn't how mail order works! So I'm sitting at home all day today waiting for it to arrive, but not overly confident! We shall see...0 -
Hello to all,
I ordered mine on Monday for delivery yesterday. It didn't arrive!
Should they try any tactics with me about the loss being my responsibility I will remind them of the sale of goods act and the fact that they have not fulfilled the contract.
Ultimately, I can always chargeback the payment so am not unduly worried.

It finally arrived! And I have to say I'm glad I waited as it seems like a cracking piece of kit and a fantastic bargain. The screen is very bright and clear, and it's easy to use and to drag and drop files. If you're having customer services problems my advice is to stick with it - it is worth it to get your hands on this bargain.0
