Oddly enough QVC had a "todays special value" of the Archos 404 this weekend and it was about £270, down from £320'ish if memory serves, and its spot on the same spec as this Grundig.
However according to the T3 review its not great, and the one reason I would think about buying this is missing, ie it doesnt record broadcast telly, however according to grundigs website you can.
But I really want it cos im a gadget freak arghhhh what to do.
All the best

That's for sure! Concentrate on free, not spending.0 -

to say I am gutted is unreal0 -
sorry for ranting about my experience with my unit Danluar, and I'm certainly not saying there aren't satisfied customers out there, it was those satisfied people that talked me into purchasing!
I am also sure that when it is sorted i'll be happy, just annoys me that (i would imagine as no customer service reply yet) I now have to get it collected, wait for it to be inspected and have another couriered out to me. Just wanted to start playing like a 6 yr old at Xmas!
Anyways will keep all posted on what sort of a customer experience Grundig give when you have a problem.ROCK:staradmin0 -

And guess what? no customer services today. Sent a rather snotty email as this whole experience is pretty damn crap. The worst thing is that if they say I have done it by dropping or something ridiculous I'll hit the roof!
Customer service on a Sunday you got to be joking, surely....even the biggest companies dont have a cusotmer services on a sunday......my advice is forget the email as it has already been stated it takes around 3/4 weeks for a reply. give em a call in the morning via their phone number on the web site and im sure they will sort it out for you.0 -

wasn't on a sunday, on a saturday mate. most big companies do have cs on a saturday, particularly if they are delivering products on saturdays. What if they turn around and say well you've had it for two days, it's feasible you dropped it and damaged it? I didn't reject it when it was couriered to me, so technically i've signed to say I recieved it in good condition.
Anyways, i really don't want to argue about these things, i'll let you know the outcome!ROCK:staradmin0 -

outbackrockstar.here is the ordinary number for Grundig 020 8787 3000,saves spending a fortune on the 0870,and if you use 18185 to call it will only cost you 5p connection.0
