    Hello everyone,

Have fancied updating for a while but I never get round to it!

Finished work for the day which is great as I've got a really really nasty cold so I'm just taking it easy this afternoon no decorating or anything! Hooray!

Works going well, I feel like I'm always there though! I'm trying not to moan I'm glad I've got the work.
Worked over time this week and also did a teaching session which will boost up my money for the month!
I'm still waiting for the money to transfer into my account from Quidco:( I might call/e-mail them.

I really really want to make OP's BUT I have a feeling I might need a new car this year so I'm trying to hang off shipping my savings off. But at the same time it might last another year, and the sooner I OP the lower the mortgage is going to become. So tricky. MOT is due mid Nov. Will just wait it out I think.

I feel like I'm a little stagnant at the moment maybe it's because I'm ill. I think I need to actually create a new list with all the new things I now need to do. Having the house & work is just exhausting at times, I forget all the other little things I have to do unfortunately!
I'll be glad when the house is all done and we are properly moved in!:D

OH goes away to complete his lance corporal training after half term then I don't get to see him till Dec 2nd which is a bit rubbish but hey ho I signed up to the army life!
With OH being away I'll be much more focused on the whole money saving etc!:D

Anyway I should go and sort my life out!!!:T

Having a messy life gives me a messy head!

    Hello lovely people!!!

Finished a little earlier than I thought I would today, at least it gives me time to update my dairy:T

I've sorted my life out a little since my last entry, I have put all the things I need to do onto my Ipod so its all in one place rather than scribbled all over the place! I feel much more organized!

Quick update on my goals on Michelle's thread:D

    Money
    • Save or OP £1,000 by the end of December 2011. Have received £40 Quidco payment, will OP more when I get paid too. Going to find out how to OP this week!

    Health:
    • Getting off the Mac by 9pm every night! This is going quite well not managing this every night but most.
    • Get into bed by 11pm every night. Again most of the time I can do this need to be in bed on a work night by 11pm!
    • Book an hour out for me each day. I'm starting to get more of a work, life, friends, family, OH balance, I realize now I'm not super woman (even if no one else does.)
    • Get back to my goal weight of 8 stone and get toned. I need to get on this! I aim to at least weigh myself this week!!!- This still applies!

    Up the ante:
    • Have 3 NSD’s a week. Completing this still.:)
    • Complete all surveys sent. Always complete OP & YouGov I need to get back into GTM.
    • Continue working at my second job till Dec if I can. Still doing this although I'm getting so tired, but I'm going to stick it out! Won a bottle of wine last week for completing a staff quiz too!- I still haven't received this!
    • Household- Decorate and furnish the lounge, study, bedroom and bathroom all by xmas. This is going ok, have painted the study although I'm now not sure of the colour! Half way through painting the lounge. Other rooms just need decorations added.

    Frugal Fun:
    • Stick to a £50 food budget a week.Completing this so far! Although I think I need to create a spending dairy.
    • Set a budget for Christmas and stick to it (try and get as many gifts for charity shops car boot etc.) Have created a budget for everyone I need to buy for and have started to look around for things on ebay etc.

I have a list of things I need to do by Friday so if I could do this and a bit of the above I will be very happy. :D

    Will update again soonish! :D

Oh dear where has the time gone!

Things in the house are going well, we now have the carpets and sofa in!:D The only thing is work has gone a little crazy and I'm in all day everyday as my colleague is off ill and we arn't sure for how long. So no work on the house for me.

I'm really enjoying work at the moment although I'm so busy I feel really important lol and it's nice to be in such demand. As I'm desperate to get a contract all this work is really helping. :D
I'm being asked to go to all these big meetings with the big dogs! :P I also feel like I'm being appreciated for all the work which I do. So I'm really happy at the moment. Just feel like I'm getting somewhere.
Also have been given a pay rise but only on my one to one work. But still I'm not complaining!
The big bods are impressed and thats the main thing, and I'm also getting trained up on things which I wouldn't otherwise.
I may have to give up my second job, as it's going to be too much, but Its tricky as my friend may be back next month and my hours may drop, it's a tough one.

I still need to find out how to OP and lots of other bits but right now I have too much to do I know, I know I will crack on soon promise!

I have the afternoon to do admin tomorrow all admin is done, so I need to find myself something to do really especially as I can't get on the Internet at work too!

Write a to do list sounds like a plan lol!:T

Hope all is well with everyone!

I can't believe how late it is in the year already! I have no christmas presents yet!!! This is very unlike me!

I have an interview for a contract job tomorrow, quite nervous already. But also looking forward to it as it's a chance to earn some decent money at last.

OH is home on the first of Dec, trying to get the house all neat and tidy before he comes home. Not getting very fair with this though, I have to say. I have borrowed a man with a van & moved in our furniture so I'm hoping that's a nice surprise for him. :D
I've been sorting through the house, I have lots to either car boot or charity shop bits. I should try and sell a few things on ebay's free listings really. :)

So busy at the moment, after Monday I shouldn't have too much to worry about so will get back on track again hopefully after this.

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

You sound like you're doing so well! I'm really pleased you're enjoying your job, and it sounds like things are looking very promising there!

Awww thanks Sepa74!:D Good luck with your MF journey Sepa!:D

I suppose I'm lucky as I seem to have fell into the right job. I do really enjoy it:) at the moment the pay's ok but I don't get paid in the hols or half term. I earn under half the rate of the contracted support workers & unfortunately there's hardly any contract jobs, so I know the competition will be tough.
It would be really great to be getting paid decent money for a job I enjoy. Not going to moan though.

Now time for a little interview prep, fun times!

    Evening all!

Went to the interview on Monday, didn't get the job as it was a position within severe learning difficulties. Which I don't have the experience in, and if I knew this I would not have bothered! A few of us got told the same thing, there's been a few complaints. Bit of a waste of time. Although a few people have said it might not be wasted as this has happened before, they like to see who's really keen. Still annoyed about it all, but oh well will keep looking, I have good hours I'm in 32 hours sometimes more, timetabled for 32 hours. But it's still agency work!

I'm getting so tired lately maybe it's the dark nights now? I'm still working my second job. I really want to give it up, as I really hate it there now. It's all extra money for xmas etc but may give this up asap.

OH will be home soon, I can't wait. I did want to sand down the wooden stairs and varnish them before OH comes home, I don't think that's going to happen! It's taking forever to get into all the awkward bits. I just don't have the time now to get it done.

It is good to be busy better not complain. :D All the extra I have left over after my car goes in for it's MOT on Thursday. Is going in OP. :D

Hope everyone else's MF journey is going well!:D

    Hello All!

Thought I should start up on this thread again as it kept me on track!:)

Quite a lot has changed in a few months, I haven't OP anything yet! I feel so ashamed about this! We have been getting furniture for the house etc so it hasn't been wasted. I need this site, keeps me motivated!

I wanted to overpay tonight only by £100 but that's all I have right now. But NatWest are closed and I have no idea how to overpay so will have to wait till morning!

Half term is nearly over now, but I have had a lovely relaxing week. (not spent a lot of money) :D Almost ready to get back to work I think.

Anyway will update again soon, hopefully with good OP news!!! :D:D:D

I have made my first OVERPAYMENT!!!

Oh my gosh it felt amazing!!!:D I see why you all do it now!:D I only over paid by £160 which is really all I can afford at the moment. But I still love it, defiantly addicted now!

Told OH who didn't seem too impressed, and asked why I did. I know we have other bills at the moment and ideally it would be nice to get married some time soon. However I do still save for other things and even if we can just squirrel a little bit into OP every now and then it's really going to make a difference as we have only had our mortgage since Sep 2011 less than a year. Anyway I plan to show him the mortgage OP calculator later hope to convince him!

Saw a friend today which was lovely, she's hoping to start her own business really motivates me to start my own, I have a few ideas in mind that I have been thinking about.
I'm hoping to maybe move into one to one tutoring on specialist software. The plan is to complete my PGCE (have started took a two year gap year as the whole massive group thing wasen't for me.) But now I have a plan I'm willing to go back and just stick it out get the qualification(more money) but at least I can go private eventually maybe work for myself, who knows. It's good to have some kind of plan.

We also talked a lot about weddings, I do think I should be starting to prep a bit start researching as the very rough plan which hasen't even been discussed with Mr.Big is for 2014. My friend had hers in a village hall I'm tempted to go the same way. The more I think about it the more I think actually I don't want to pay a fortune! I love the fact she could have who she wanted in, what food they wanted, entertainment, food etc etc....anyway anyway... enough! :)

Looking forward to the weekend! Hope all you MSers are well!
