    Hello big break again!

Funny reading posts back to see how much has really changed! Not long after my last post I got a full time job, which I still have yay!

I have decided to come back onto this site as I feel I have lost my money saving ways slightly! I never fail to be inspired after being on this website so continuing on my blog posts would be a good start!

So this year I am looking at moving, my service charge has now gone up to a massive £2k a year. I can not justify spending that amount just to live in a building basically. I could pay off four months of my mortgage for the same amount of money. Plus I would love my own garden now. However I do not have much spare cash and unsure how much extra I may be able to add onto my pre existing mortgage.

*For now I am working on saving about £5k for legal costs, stamp duty etc.
*Get quotes for a new mortgage
*Become beach body ready without spending a fortune at the gym/classes/pt
*Have a holiday wardrobe without the price tag
*Still have lots of fun but without my debit card
*Be open to finding the right man
*Get furnishings/clothes whatever else I need at a decent price
*Build a secondary income (Build a business)
*Look into ways to increase my income now more easily
*Stop being a stressy betty about life and where I am going
*Give people a chance and stop being lazy with others

The best things in life really are free and I need to work on that!

There was a positive steps thread which I found really motivating, I hope I can find something similar this year. :o

Ok so I was looking into moving from my flat which I do mortgage currently because of a steep increase in my service charges.
I stupidly got my heart set on a lovely little house with it's own garden in a nice little village but I have looked into this seen a few mortgage advisors and bottom line I can not afford to move. At all.

Because of this I've been slightly heartbroken this week. I really wanted to move out of the area. I've lived in the same town all my life and it's just got a bit stale. I feel like I know everyone here and really not a great thing. I've stopped going out and even been really lazy with friends lately because I just haven't wanted to be here. The only good thing to come out of this is that I have no choice but to stay here whack down that mortgage as quick as possible to move onto my dream home in a good few years! I need to snap out of being a complete grump/spoilt cow and do something productive this week! :(:(

So I've listed my outgoings and incoming and it turns out I have £13.30 left at the end of the month. I did work this out of worst case scenario (i.e no overtime). I don't really understand how I am living the life I am without being in debt?!! More luck than judgement I think!!!

I haven't been able to make regular payments into my savings account since living here so this is my new intention.

Make £50 next month (start small and build hopefully)

As I have no money at the end of the month I am going to need to look into an alternative way to get this. i.e overtime, selling stuff online, going full time, taking up a coaching role at work maybe.

This is going to have to become a priority as otherwise I'm never going to be able to move house. Also I am actually quite worried how I am going to be able to afford any unexpected bills etc.

    This week;
*Clear spare room- list what I can on ebay etc
*Finish my pom pom wreath- take photos, look at uploading to esty
*Use £1.50 voucher for CEX from cashing in some old dvd's I found :T:
*Speak to bee people about helping collect swarms (a fun free day out right :rotfl:)
    *Decide on course
*Seriously consider going FT and taking the coach position at work
    * Call up about getting an allotment again
*Set up some dates with friends cost free

    Will report back soon :o:o

Back again for inspiration! I am still in my flat and although the service charge is high I do love living here and I just do not have the cash to spend on moving costs. I have found spending a little money on myself and the house has really increased my happiness. I am not all about saving anymore and understand sometimes a holiday or decorating a room can make a big difference to your life. It's not all about saving money but that being said I am back onto the MSE site!
Currently the overtime in my workplace has been cut and I need to be smarter with my spending and hoping this diary will keep me focused.
Hoping to join MSE challenges and set myself some goals.

Day off today and have challenged my council tax banding! We will see what this may bring! Off to join some challenges! <3

There's no fun in just saving and nobody wants to be the richest person in the graveyard. However, it's important to get a balance between pleasure and saving. Good luck with the challenges and stay safe!

Can't believe I just missed my ten year anniversary on this site!!!  <3
Back on track, met the make £10 a day challenge in Feb, also up to date in the penny challenge. Changed my Gas and Elec to save myself £10 a month. Just changed my broadband to save £17.96 a month- if you include the cashback and reward card I should get for switching!  :):):) :
Brought mum's mothers day pressie online, had a very quick online voucher code check and managed to get myself free delivery. So a saving of £2.95!  :)
Another thing, my car is on lease, the contract is due in May, I luckily have saved enough so looking to pay off the contract this month once the NS&I bonds have been drawn tomorrow. Then I will have almost no savings unfortunately. But this will save me money each month although I am aiming to put this away for a new car when needed.
Still waiting to hear back on my council tax band, should have a decision by the end of the month I hope.
Been working a lot of overtime this month so I can decorate my hall, planning to get a rad cover, add a dado rail, panelling and a new paint job! Should look much nicer after and make my place more attractive for when I eventually want to move.
Also been looking at having these clear retainers to straighten a few teeth, expensive and uncomfortable but might as well do some things for yourself sometimes! :D

    To do;
    1. Sell old phone asap
    2. Join March make £10 a day challenge
    3. Decorate hall

You are so right Little Miss. Sometimes redecorating a room or even just rearranging a room can do wonders for your spirits. Indoor plants help too. It's all about balance. You want to make your house a home and at the same time, you want to pay the mortgage off. You can do both carefully. Allow yourself some fun and you will enjoy the journey that much more. Great diary.
    Mortgage start date Dec 2015 - $64,655.00
Mortgage end date Dec 2045 - NOT!!!!
    Mortgage balance  - $11,215.00
    Business Savings $47,000/100k
Hope to be mortgage-free by end of 2023
